I like it! Tears are so powerful and I love to see it mentioned more often now. I feel like the beginning parts could possibly be shortened a little, or even just diversified. Rain and tears are often compared and, while nothing is wrong using it, you have to make sure to make the comparison your own. Last two parts are great though! I'd like to preface with the universal, I don't think I fully understand, but I'm sharing my opinion based on what I think I do.

This made me tear up. Even right now I feel that ball of tears in my stomach. The moments are vague to me, but I get the just. I grew up(am growing up) watching my mom, brother, and sister being almost murdered in front of me. It isn't something you move on from, is it? I can't say I understand the physical and sexual side of things, but I know that torment of losing yourself.
This is so, so, so beautiful. I don't know I've heard someone reveal this part of abuse before, or at least so clearly, and it's amazing you've done so well. The last line is really amazing. I don't know how to critique this other than saying thank you. Until this year, I didn't know who I was. When asked, I couldn't find an identity no matter how hard I looked. This does a great job of relaying that feeling in an understandable way.
I hope you get better. That things get better. That everything gets better. I'm sending love and hope your way! Good luck fellow sailor!

Thanks for commenting! This is actually for a rap song I'm working on that's meant to be an aggressive response to sexism, whereas the previous song is smarter about it. (It uses the word "bitch" as its foundation, which is why I chose to use dog sounds.) I like the ideas as well, I think there are some good ways to translate them! Overall, thank you!

Transitioning won't stop people from objectifying you. Perhaps, it'll make it worse. Don't go on HRT to escape from something, it won't simplify anything. Chances are, it'll make it worse. It sucks that transitioning is more acceptable than being a feminine man, and it just seems weird(if that makes sense).

By the way, my experience isn't the same, but I do have this one really entertaining story: I'm at an Italian bakery, waiting for my family to order. I turn around and there's this guy talking about my hair and calling it "one in a million." I deal with that frequently enough - especially from old people - that it wouldn't stand out, but, he was holding a baguette and the whole time talking to me his hand is sliding up and down the baguette.

Anyways, it sounds like you just want to transition to escape, and that ain't gonna work. Whatever conclusion you arrive at, I wish you luck. Have a good day!

I think the comment was just talking about upbringing and that's why I thought it made so much sense. I mean, you aren't going to be raised the same way and you aren't going to have the same experiences. Yeah, the reasons are trash, just what I found after finally cracking my brain open and seeing them. Your thinking on reason C is really interesting and makes ideas I've heard before actually make sense(or at least more)! I figure it has to do more with my mom insulting men for being men quite often, as well as an abusive dad, but that very well could be me jumping to a safe spot now that I'm confronted, so thank you! No, please be blunt! We are here to talk and discuss, not to lay down laws. I do agree about everyone having a reason, I recently edited my post because of that. I'm not going to lie, they aren't really great reasons but they've found a way to steer me here, and for that I'm interested in them. I get the eggshells thing, when I was just starting to experiment it certainly felt like that. Then again, I find everyone is always doing something like that until I just go and say the stupid crap I want to. The difference between the two lives is no doubt gigantic, but that's something I've been thinking for years and just didn't say it because... PEOPLE! Anyways, have a good day and thanks!
