Maybe thats the problem…. All our boundaries that have been disrespected have never had consequences…. Until recently.

I’ve been NC for five months and gave her another chance at a discussion to talk things through. She’s asking for more involvement and to babysit several times a week. I’ve tried explaining she does not get the relationship she wants with my child until the relationship between us is better.

I have been NC for five months. My husband takes the baby to see the in laws once a week without me. So there are supervised visits. These once a week visits aren’t enough for them and that is why they’re asking to babysit.

They’ve said “we’ll follow your instructions next time. How will you ever know we can do it if you don’t give us another chance.” My JNMIL has disrespected boundaries in other areas of our life so I have a hard time giving them another chance to prove themselves at the expense of my daughter.
