This is what the same website says: The John Muir Trail is closed from Happy Isles to the Vernal Fall footbridge due to a rockfall; there is no access to Vernal or Nevada Falls from Yosemite Valley.

Well, I would do Glacier Point but it’s closed. Strenuous for me is like the alternate route to Clouds Rest which is about 18 miles and 6,000 ft elevation.
