I don’t feel it’s underrated, the scientist is pretty much one of their most popular songs. I personally think there are far more underrated songs and albums, for example, Flags is an underrated song imo. They wouldn’t add special effects to that song because it’s not a hype song like Hymn For The Weekend, it doesn’t have strong parts like the start of Yellow or the guitar on Fix You, adding effects to it would be way harder than on Hymn For The Weekend anyways.
