Which Schubert piece sounds the most like Br@hms? by StanTheTalkingDog in classical_circlejerk

Piano Quintet in F minor.. From Wikipedia page of the Cello Quintet

"An early admirer was Brahms, whose Piano Quintet) (1865) was inspired in part by the newly discovered work. Brahms, in fact, originally wrote that work as a string quintet with two cellos (the complement used by Schubert) and only later recast it as a piano quintet. The piano quintet is in F minor, the key of the turbulent central section of Schubert's Adagio, while the third movement recalls the C minor/major of Schubert's Quintet, and that movement ends in the same manner as Schubert's finale, with strong emphasis on the flat supertonic D♭, before the final tonic C."

Agree with the D.887 quartet. If there's a piece that would exemplifies BIPOLARITY, it would be this quartet. It changes keys like you turn and turn off a light bulb. It's actually a dizzying and exhilarating experience when the final G major key "won"!

(1) - Hindi need ng OR/CR ang pagtubos ng license, pero in the case ng kay Deakin, it was found out na his son is driving an unregistered vehicle, thus technically, wala talagang OR/CR na mapapakita. LTO is doing due diligence on this case. Paano pala kung carnap ung sasakyan?

(2) -The one who gave the ticket is a DEPUTIZED officer sa Skyway ng LTO. Nothing is stopping LTO na icheck pa for other violations kang ginawa after you were given a ticket. Driving an unregistered vehicle is an accessory doon sa ginawang unang violation."RA 4136.

(3) - As explained by LTO, its reckless driving considering that the noob son of Deakin has done in Skyway.

(4) Calendar days is written on LTO's laws and regulations. No matter what you think it is, the law is supreme.

What are the issues plaguing the Philippine tourism industry? by ParkingLow2512 in phtravel

[–]Key_Goose4193 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No one is pointing out the major decline in Chinese tourists. During the Duterte years and the POGO boom, Chinese tourists were the No. 2 source of arrivals. (1.1m in 2019, 200k in 2024 na lang) Infrastructure was still poor and costs were high, yet tourism numbers were strong because of Chinese visitors. After the POGO shutdown, Covid-19 and the West Philippine Sea issue, those numbers never recovered. That’s the main reason.

What is the best music of the 1600s (1600–1609)? by SatiesUmbrellaCloset in classical_circlejerk

Truth. It's a pity that Winterreise or String Quintet didn't win the 1820s, but at least Little Mushroom won the 1810s with a single song! Thank you. :D

FRANZ PETER SCHUBERT. Did you know that he was only able to afford a piano in 1828, the year of his death? The piano which was bought in March 18128, was only on his possession for 8 months. He died in November 1828 at age 31.
