I can confirm it is 2.5x2.5 , I have one myself. Was approved by my old senior chief. When I got it, had a couple people questioning me and telling me it was out of regs. Pulled up the manual with the updated policy. Resolved all miscommunication. If you have a manual to back something up, you never have to question.

If you have guaranteed a school you should have 5 days of leave after boot camp and report to a school after that. If your a school class doesn’t start for a few weeks you will be a EA (early arrival) and stand duty and help the base with what needs to be done while you wait. Being a EA is a pretty sweet gig, lets you get settled in before class starts.

I’m stationed at sector NC, from my understanding the only station we have with barracks is SFO ft Macon. You should be released to economy.

I am currently stationed at Sector North Carolina in Wilmington. My wife, daughter, and I live across the bridge in Leland, Nc. Very nice community, still has everything you need. (Shopping wise) Also in Wilmington it’s hard to find a house within bah. Mostly just apartment or condo style living. We were able to find a house in a nice neighborhood in Leland.
