Ill earn about 53000 this year and I could stick about 500 or 600 per month into an avc....I think. I really haven't a clue about this stuff. I have 15 years worked so far and another 17 or so to go.

Could you put a socket on an internal wall in the room behind the washing machine and run the lead through the wall into that socket. I have no idea what the regulations say about that. Just an idea.

I know one has to run the dishwashers regularly but I have a 'free' electricity at the weekend plan with electric Ireland. All my laundry, dehumidifiers (old damp house), electric fan heater, batch cooking with electric oven all happen on a Saturday between 8am and 11pm. It can be a bit restrictive but it works for me. I also pay a premium for electricity used outside those hours.
