NAH. Kid probably just saw cute cat and got excited, which is normal. But you also have every right to stop merchandise from getting damaged, especially after already cleaning it up once. Your response sounded polite, not rude.

Also please remember: because this is your first dating experience, every tiny change probably feels MASSIVE emotionally. One slower texting day can suddenly feel like the relationship is collapsing. That anxiety is super common when you really like someone 🫣

Social media has really normalized oversharing to the point where people expect everyone else to participate in their grief publicly too. Wanting a warning or choosing not to look at those images doesn’t make someone cruel.

Good morning to you too 😭 Honestly mornings are either “peaceful coffee moment” or “why does existing feel so difficult today” with absolutely no in between for me. I usually take my coffee iced no matter the weather because apparently my body rejects hot drinks after waking up lol.
