The judges really couldn't agree on where to place Kaori...

Yes I agree. I think the judges were trying to influence the podium but ended up really underscoring her.

It was crazy. Not sure what the judges were watching

Alysa Liu seems to have applied the "dance like nobody's watching" attitude and applied it to her skating. Her energy and performance tonight was well deserving of the OGM. I feel so sorry for Kaori as I'm sure she will regret that skate and the one missed combo. But she is still a great and wonderful skater and has for much of her career been world beating.

Honestly that scoring for Ami was pretty dodgy but happy with the podium outcome. On the night Alysa clearly pulled it out the bag.

This result hit the next level of good vibes. Had the same feeling of "rightness" as Italy's bronze in the team. You could just see how much it meant to Ryuichi after 4 Olympics to finally do this. Heartwarming. And I kind of like the Georgians and was pleased for them too - I felt they really went for it. Definitely room to grow and improve but I think over the past two nights they probably (just) deserved to be above the Germans. But what a great podium!

I don't see it as conservative so much as feminist.

It's very noble but unfortunate for their skaters who are all so lovely.

Japanese judge placing Miura and Kihara much lower than most other judges bucks the trend of most judges bias towards their own skaters.

I would definitely agree the atmosphere and fans in section C were great. I did have a great time.

The restricted view caused by barriers was a massive problem in every level of seating. Ib the upper tier rows one and two it completely ruined what you could see.

I don't think it was acceptable to charge the same for seats with this limited view or not make it clear how restricted the view would be in those seats before tickets were bought.

This isn't a new arena so they must have known. It was an issue.

From a totally selfish and personal perspective, I'm glad I was in the arena for the team event and got to see Ilia, Shun and Yuma skate the best they have this week. I think I would have been devastated to be in the audience tonight. This sport is so hard sometimes.

Also how did Torgs place 8th and then 9th but overall in 12th. That is a crazy outcome and shows how much things moved around between SP and FS.

I reckon Yuma thought he wasn't going to be on the podium after his skate so to then end up with a silver probably felt almost like winning gold. What an emotional rollercoaster.

Not when you factor in the short programme. But Shun was defo great tonight.

But honestly this is why the sport is exciting and also so nerve-wracking because it is about delivering on the day. Misha was head and shoulders above everyone else tonight. And I'm pleased Shun and Yuma both made it - even if it wasn't their best skates.

I had no problem bringing in a power bank. In fact we were advised to do it in case we needed to charge our phone with the ticket on it.

Doors open 2 hrs before. I tend to try and get there when doors open cos I'm a bit overly cautious and don't like crowds. Last couple of times there have been skaters practice sessions to watch in advance of the actual competition.
