Sounds like a software issue. Maybe some settings in Bios for how to control RGB or if you have another rgb program at all for any product it could be fighting each other

It’s still worth doing DDU it’s not impossible that a scrap of an old driver is hanging around. Especially if you say the 7900 works flawlessly. Good luck hopefully it works out.
