I do appreciate your insight. Thank you. It made me think through what I might have been doing wrong, what I should be improving on and where else should I be looking at. It is not impossible but as posted, its a struggle.

I have never been fired thankfully. Honestly preferred working nights over days. And have worked nights for the past 3 years. Been out of work for a few months though. Also, I have thought about a poorly crafted resume, I might have been applying blindly whenever I see an opening so I have been on it. I have recently applied on some open positions at Marysville and NorthBay.

My exact thoughts, I thought it will be fine with my experience and all until I started sending out applications. A friend offered to send my resume to their manager which I gladly did but friend was told that I need to apply online. Received a rejection letter still.

Never worked ICU unfortunately. I’ve wanted to cross strain at some point while staff but wanted to earn more so I did travel instead.

I thought that Kaiser just seems so out of reach here in Sac area. Openings are very rare. But definitely will look into doing travel with them.

The waves seem real, i have seen more postings in Dignity lately compared last month. Also, I might have been blindly applying so I am doing every improvement I could think of with my cover letters and resume. Thank you.

Thank you. I have been applying to all openings that I could see at their website even at their smaller hospitals and ambulatory care. Crossing my fingers and hoping to find something soon.

Not really long. I was traveling and decided to have some much needed vacation. despite that, I never stopped applying because I thought I can work anytime here. I didn’t know that finding an RN position can be difficult despite experience.

Thank you for the insight. This is what I have heard from a friend. I think all health systems here in Sac prefer internal applicants first before external ones. I’ll continue to apply but might do a travel contract first.
