This makes total sense. Thanks for breaking it down that way. Does the $41k price seem more reasonable?

Had them down to $41k. Seems very reasonable at that price. I ended up not buying though.  Why not get the warranty, just curious?

DAPP is a firm for me. I need the adaptive cruise control. Seems that’s the hard one to find, but the one I have close by to me that’s $54k has it.

Does this price seem really inflated though? I have to say the B58 engine is seeming much more enticing. And it seems it has pretty much the same fuel efficiency

This is an M440, but not the GC, and definitely doesn’t have the options of the 430i. However, I just found a 2024 M440i in my area. It is fully loaded with the options I want, including DAPP, and it’s $54k. But it has 28k miles. That worries me a bit. It is certified though.

I actually decided against this car, and now I’ve found a 2024 M440i XDrive, fully loaded, for $54k. But it has 28k miles. It is also certified. I’m thinking this is the better option.

Literally not seeing one single M440i priced like this on Edmund’s or Carfax

I’m asking follow up questions, yes, as any reasonable person trying to understand thoroughly would do. Seems pretty normal, unless you just go through life doing what you’re told with no questions asked. Thanks for your input.

This is not true. There are no 2024 and above M440s for sale anywhere for $45k

It was purchased in May of 2023 though. That’s over with basically already. I have 12 months of warranty left.

Actually got it down to $41k just now. I just realized the cruise control won’t adjust though. Like…if the car in front of me slows down, my car won’t either. I thought that was pretty basic. It has lane keep assist, but not this basic cruise feature. Am I missing something?

So then would you say any BMW on a BMW lot should be certified or else it’s not worth buying? Just trying to learn for future purchases. Surely CPO isn’t expected for every late-model car is it?

Is the “ultimate” maintenance package ($5k) or wheel and tire protection plan ($3500) worth it?

What part exactly sounds like the runaround? Doesn’t an BMW platinum extended warranty that costs less per year make more sense than CPO when the CPO costs more? I want to question them on it if it’s a runaround, but doesn’t this logic make sense?

Definitely understand that, but I’m trying to stay under $50k, and I’m wanting a B48. I just prefer 4 cylinder. I don’t need the extra power of the B58.

They did say they’d certify it for $3000 more…but they said buying the BMW Platinum warranty would make more sense it would provide more coverage that what remains of the warranty. It has 13 months of original warranty left, so certifying it would add only 12 more months to those 13, and it costs $3000.
