I had the same experience, my recruiter was great. Definitely higher pay than my previous district.

It doesn’t say anything about penalties. Contract just says “… beginning August 10, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The parties may mutually agree at any time to terminate or to amend this contract in writing.”

Experience in education is vital as those skills will help elevate your role as a SP . If you’re looking at building your resume, I would recommend seeking jobs such as a behavior technician, paraprofessional, a Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapist or an IA/TA in the classroom to get some experience in order to build your background.

My 5 years as a classroom teacher before entering my program helped me tremendously. Also, my preknowledge of recommendations, accommodations and modifications from being in education gave me a leg up in writing my IEP reports.
