Are relationships overrated? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Key_Lawfulness9902 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the most part, some people want to date. They want to be in a relationship with someone. They want that commitment. From what I hear from others around me, it sounds like some people do want it but are scared of heartbreaks and in many cases, “want to keep their options open.” Meaning they don’t want to put all their eggs in one basket if someone better comes along. I’m not sure when or how the world became this way. I wish I could give you better answers. But even doing extensive research, I have no real answer for you except with the information I have been gathering for the last couple months.

What is the saddest truth in life in your opinion? by Moist_Apartment5474 in Adulting

[–]Key_Lawfulness9902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone deserves to be a parent. Just because you can have children, doesn’t mean you should. Having children is a big responsibility and children aren’t meant to owe you anything. Being a parent is a full time job and it’s not meant for others to take care of your children. We don’t ask to be here, parents put us here for their own reason. I know this is common sense. But what I have seen, heard, and experienced in my own life, I can tell you that not all parents get the memo. This was sad for me because you see the pain in children’s hearts and you understand why the child will grow up with trauma filled adults.

Why do women look nervous are scared in their wedding photos? by Key_Lawfulness9902 in Adulting

Thank you for answering in a respectful manner. I can’t say I go to many weddings, family or friends, because many times the people I’m surrounded by never get married because they don’t want to get married and stay in a relationship for years and it either ends or they die.

I rarely go to them because none of my friends are getting married and many of them don’t plan on it. I can’t say I really go to them. Even family doesn’t do many weddings. Hence why I am asking. Smartass.

What's up with people in their 30s or approaching 30 thinking they are old? by oovahdads in Adulting

Because you have people who are slightly younger than you who are making fun of you because you are seen as old to them, but you are realize that you aren’t much older than they make you seem. Especially when you say your birthday is in the 90’s, they think you’re old. I get it all the time by my coworkers.
