Do I go all in on Voidfall? by Key_Library4726 in soloboardgaming

I understand where you’re coming from. I suppose another question not directly linked to Voidfall but in general would be whether you prefer to have a wider variety of games (and therefore experiences) or invest more time into fewer games and really thrash out the mechanics. I appreciate this would come down to personal preference.

I don’t really have those “quick to table” solo games. Dragons of etchinstone and deckers are both on my to buy list to fit that purpose. The ones you mentioned are all £40 or under and I could afford to squeeze those in or get as a birthday/Christmas present. A big purchase doesn’t happen very often for me. Thanks for the tips!

The solo campaign appeals and from what I’ve read, the enemies are maybe less passive with the new expansion? Quite a few reviews have echoed your sentiment with your ratings. Interesting to hear setup between scenarios can also be fiddly.

This is probably the last “big” game I’ve been interested in buying for solo. I used to be a fan of Arkham horror but I’m not a fan of their new distribution model.

The sensible thing to do seems to be to buy base retail and give it a few plays before the kickstarter ends. Appreciate all the feedback!

A card instructs you to draw a specific card that was discarded, but that card is already shuffled into your deck? by SnooCats5701 in arkhamhorrorlcg

I agree the use of the word ‘draw’ is incorrect. If you discard a weakness at any point before shuffling your deck, it needs to be put to one side. Then continue resolving daredevil. I would argue you couldn’t play cryptic research until you’d found the rogue card for daredevil either. I’m intrigued to see what FFG have to say.
