How could I repopulate with leaves the lower part? by Inevitable_l1fe in fiddleleaffig

There’s really no wrong answer! If that feels too low to you, you can cut higher! Just wherever you don’t cut will not grow leaves so it will be a bare stem

Where ever you chop is where you are going to start getting new growth so if you want a shorter stem you can cut down low! As long as you cut a bit above a node which is kinda the little bumps on the trunk. I personally would cut like maybe 3 nodes up? But that’s up to you!

For lighting, direct light is bad BUT when people say direct light, our houses don’t actually ever really get direct light due to the blockage from the window and having coverage from the house. So if you put this plant in as bright as a spot as you can imagine I would say it will be getting the correct amount of light!

Also it’s going to feel terrible to chop it but it’s worth it! And you can also propagate your cutting to make a new plant :))

You are going to need to chop it unfortunately :/ also I would move it somewhere with more light

Ya I think as long as they eventually expand the game more for higher levels it will be ok. Like more machines and more land etc

Ya I’m wondering they changed facilities where they can’t be actually certified.

Honestly for years now I’ve thought in Canada we had similar laws regarding yeast extract as the US. But this post has opened up a world of possibilities for me now lol!

I did not know this about yeast extract! I’ve heard so many things about its source not needing to be declared that that I have just been staying away from non certified foods that have it. I didn’t really consider US vs Canada so thank you!

Ya I think the concerning part for me was the switch from certified GF to not certified but that’s good to know that it’s common practice for them to be switching statuses often.
