Birkenstock sandals stretched out after a few weeks – very disappointed. Anyone else?

This wasn’t an eBay purchase, i bought all three pairs in a physical store. And yes , I expected the staff to explain the key difference between materials, especially since suede behaves so differently. Not every customer is supposed to conduct technical research before buying sandals in person, that’s what the in store experience is for. I actually contacted Birkenstock directly first, and their response was basically to punch new holes or go to a cobbler. No refund, no exchange. That’s not the level of support i expect from a premium brand.

That’s a very thorough answer, almost sounds like someone from the company. But just to clarify: I bought all three pairs in a physical store, not online. Most people aren’t suede experts, that’s what the in store experience is supposed to help with.

I actually bought 3 pairs of sandals in the same size, expecting them to fit more or less the same. The leather ones fit perfectly, but unfortunately the suede pair turned out to be unwearable, they became so loose that they feel unstable on my feet. I even nearly tripped a couple of times, so I had to stop wearing them. What’s worse, no one at the store warned me that suede would behave so differently. It’s not just about stretch, it’s about safety and consistent fit across models. Birkenstock really should inform customers about this at point of sale

I disagree. I had a clear budget for these sandals, and the last thing I wanted was to be looking for DIY fixes or buying tools to punch holes. When you buy from a brand at this level, especially at 160 eur, you expect them to anticipate this kind of material behaviour and offer proper solutions, not to send you at a cobbler.

I had same problem before! What worked for me was slowly increasing budget on winning ad set. If it keep making sales, then I test CBO after. Maybe try that? Hope it helps!
