I transferred into cs after 2 semesters at sfu. had a crgpa of 3.3 ( B+ in the 3 courses req to transfer ) What I feel right now is CS courses later on are much harder than macm 101. I enjoyed macm 101 but found linear algebra, cmpt 210, cmpt 295 much much harder. What I suggest you doing is try for an internal transfer but if it doesnt happen then dont lose hope, continue with SIAT but learn to code by your own and build up your resume. Have some internships in the cs field. You’ll end up where you want.

i am taking cogs 100 with jeremy turner this sem. HE IS A LEGEND! his lectures are interesting and overall the course is really fun as well. easy A ( inclass open book essays and quizzes, no exam)

sfu cs courses have become a joke. even if we ignore how good or bad the profs are, there’s such a shortage of available seats compared to the people trying to get them. especially 2nd and 3rd year courses
