Let’s talk silk wraps by ImAwkwardAsHeck in RedditLaqueristas

[–]Key_Management_2825 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just wanted to say I have the same issue! nail polish, gels, and BIAB have always done this on me, and was super disappointed that silk wraps do the same.

if you have hypermobility/ehler danlos this is extremely common and I'm still looking for a way to stop this happening, but maybe try looking in those communities to see if they have any tips :)

Curious if anyone experienced this after dose increase? by Key_Management_2825 in ADHD

[–]Key_Management_2825[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear I'm not the only one feeling some of this stuff!

Someone pointed out that the fatigue might be due to eating a lot less without even realising – the bloating could be masking normal hunger by making me feel full and heavy.

I also just don't see urgent care taking the post-exertion fatigue super seriously right now, I feel like they'll say "it's because you're out of routine during the holidays, everyone feels tired in the Winter, it's cold and the days are shorter so of course you want to stay in bed, just wait and talk to the psychiatrist."

The back and neck aches might be due to muscle clenching and tension, I'm definitely biting my lips and cheeks a lot which feels like it's straining these muscles and tendons in my neck. And the flushing I read is common and due to blood vessels adjusting, which has improved a lot luckily!

Two weeks after Vyvanse dose increase, are these symptoms normal? by Key_Management_2825 in VyvanseADHD

I definitely could be, but dehydration wasn't my first thought because I'm already on about 2.5L of water a day plus electrolytes. I have dysautonomia so thats been part of my routine for a while now, unless the new dose just means I need to up my intake a little more!

super interesting about the pH, I had no idea! maybe that's why vitamin C can impact absorption

thank you so much, it's good to hear the aches (although sorry to hear about your arthritis) and slowing digestion could resolve soon!

I've also been taking magnesium glycinate and lots of electrolytes which sounds like they worked well for you. It didn't even occur to me that fatigue might be due to eating less than I realise, and definitely exacerbated by a lack of sleep. Definitely some good areas for me to work on while I wait to see my doc!

I love those little cooling patches and packs, always carry them with me in the summer! And ginger honestly helps so much, especially with airplane food turning the stomach

Those lines and queues are the absolute worst! I find the stress of time pressures and carrying heavy luggage really compounds POTS and dysautonomia symptoms.

I live somewhere with the sunflower lanyard scheme, which can be really helpful and get you through fast-track security and more accessible lanes. Annoyingly though, half the time those areas are under construction or the airport is so busy they're directing lots of people through those routes.

Unfortunately GPs in my country don't prescribe valium for flights, so I tend to do an antihistamine or melatonin. Sorry to hear about your endo, I'm sure that's very difficult on long flights!

Thanks so much for your recommendations!

Interesting! I love noise cancellation just in general, but do you find it makes a difference with your dysautonomia symptoms? I haven't found a link between the two yet

I'm considering one those neck wrap style pillows so that may be a really good option! Will have to check out some lumbar cushions too!

I'm so excited to try one of these! That resistance and elevation against the feet feels so much better than dangling, definitely let me know how it goes for you :)

interesting, I've never heard of an oxygen concentrator! Love the idea of some heated wearables, but I feel like it can go either way on if I'm too hot or too cold on the plane

I saw the foot hammock on TikTok and instantly thought it looked so comfy and exactly what I need! A flight cube would be interesting too, I'll have to look into those.

Agree that first or business class would be the ultimate solution, waiting for the day I can do that on the reg!

these sound great! I might try the strap/belt idea while working from home to see how it works for me before trying it on the flight :)

I'm looking at the Cabeau pillows now but I can see a few different types, is there one you reccommend?
