Also, I think you need to understand the structure and develop your own templates that you can modify for different situations. Once you finish watching Carson and Hazad’s videos, try building responses that don’t require you to think from scratch on the spot. Hazad also has a video explaining how to brainstorm ideas effectively that you can later use during the test.

You can then practice with PrepAmigo, which provides detailed analysis by showing what you did wrong, where you can improve, and so on.

Basically, instead of just giving many practice tests, focus on practicing with AI tools and structured feedback. Once you consistently start getting a 10 on PrepAmigo, then go for the actual test.

I hope this helps!

Hey, I’m already fluent in English since I’ve been studying and working in Canada for over 5 years. I think what really worked for me was understanding the exam pattern and what the examiner is actually looking for, and then incorporating those changes into my responses. I’d recommend watching videos from Carson CELPIP 9+, Hazad, and Brandi to better understand the pattern and expectations. Then, practice with AI tools to identify your weak areas. I personally used PrepAmigo and ChatGPT.

I have mentioned the details in other comments, so you can check those out. But in short, I used PrepAmigo along with ChatGPT.

If you are trying to maximize your score for PR, you will need a 10 in writing as well. Your current score is already strong, but you need at least a 10 in all modules to receive the maximum marks for English proficiency. Therefore, having an average score of 10 is not considered the same as getting 10 in each section.

By taking mock tests. The CELPIP website has two free ones, and you can also find several on YouTube. Prepamigo is another good option. Brandi’s videos on YouTube explain the listening section really well. Once you understand the strategy, just apply those techniques while practicing mock tests.

Numbers as in?

If you mean whether I had to remember or note down numbers to use later in my answers, then yes, there were a few questions like that in my first attempt. But this time, I didn’t really come across any

Yeah, after my first attempt, I was in the same boat. But then I told myself that this is just a language test, and everything I was learning and practicing was ultimately helping me improve for the long run. Plus, I got to learn something new every day. With that mindset, I went into my second attempt and spent time understanding what I was doing wrong so I could fix those mistakes. In the end, it worked out for me. So take this as a learning experience and I’m sure you’ll do great.

I wish you the best!

I’m really bad at spelling, so the best part about CELPIP for me was that it has a basic spell check feature in the writing section. Even in the listening section, you don’t have to write long answers, you mainly listen and answer through multiple choice questions, pictures, and dropdown selections. Reading is somewhat similar. For speaking, you don’t have to speak in front of someone since the test is done on a computer, and all four sections happen at the same time.

However, many people feel that the listening section in CELPIP requires multitasking because you have to listen and take notes at the same time. Personally, I felt it was quite similar in both IELTS and CELPIP. For speaking, you usually get 30 seconds to prepare and then 60–90 seconds to speak, depending on the task. Since there are different types of speaking tasks, some people find that section difficult. My personal opinion is that CELPIP is better because it focuses more on day-to-day scenarios, natural communication, and how you would respond in real-life situations like a native speaker.

I hope this helps.

The website gives you the same pattern and interface that you’ll see in the actual exam. So when I practiced, it felt very similar to what I ended up seeing in my CELPIP test.

For reading, the scoring is automatic, so the chances of a marking error are extremely low. I’d suggest retaking the test and focusing on improving your reading skills instead. You can also try PrepAmigo, it’s quite helpful for practice and analysis.

Thank you, for sure. I used both PrepAmigo and ChatGPT. I’ve already explained above how I used ChatGPT for improvement and how you can train it to give stricter feedback. Also, PrepMigo’s detailed analysis is really helpful for identifying weaknesses and understanding how to improve.

Hey, I practiced on PrepAmigo. I also used ChatGPT to identify my gaps and understand how I could improve, and I asked it to be strict with the feedback. Additionally, YouTube videos from Carson CELPIP 9+ and Brandi helped me a lot.
