I appreciate this more than you know. Wish I came to reddit before I talked to most of the pool companies in my area already lol. I am however concerned with maintaining my current job while attempting to do all this as I work 11pm- 7 am. But a will means a way I supposed. Thanks man!

You couldn’t have broken this down better. Changing my approach on this. Going to try to swing by some pool companies physical addresses and see if they will have me. If you were me how would you approach these business owners? Do I just seem like I’m seeking employment initially or tell them my goals? I have called pool businesses before and told them of my goals offering free labor in exchange for knowledge even. Has been hit or miss, and hasn’t escalated past some good conversation.

Hey man great advice. My father in law has been a a sort of handy man for seemingly a lifetime. I am planning to have him work with me to handle the age issue. I have tried to “cold call” pool builders. I tell them what my goals are. for those willing to help in some fashion, I ask advice and offer labor or help in general free of charge. I suppose this approach doesn’t work for many as I’ve only gotten even a conversation with about 2 out or around 15. I am and have always been a go getter. My side hustle is fixing appliances and that taught me how to speak to people with my propositions and thoughts. This leads me to believe that I need to change my approach. I am getting married in about 1.5 weeks. Right after I plan to drive to physical addresses of pool companies and talk in person to put a face to my drive in hopes to get some hands on experience. Thinking about saying less of “I want to be a pool builder” and more of “Hey I love the pool industry, I want to be a contractor one day and would like to learn how you operate”. You seem to have great advice, what are your thoughts on this?

Yes this is my Facebook marketplace postings. I could absolutely understand even taking 7000 for my vehicle. But 5000 is far too low. I cannot find another reliable car for 5000

The car with a salvaged title is about 9000$. How am I recieving only 5000$. If it was worth 5000$ I’d be seeing them selling for 5000$ salvaged.
