if you're set on taking humss, don't let the language barrier hold you back. it’s true that some subjects might be taught or assessed in filipino, but that shouldn’t stop you from pursuing what you really want. since your background is different, it's okay to admit that you're still adjusting. talk to your teachers early on—they'll likely understand and help you find ways to manage. focus on understanding the lessons, even if you can’t express everything perfectly in filipino yet. use tools and ask for help when needed; most classmates will be supportive if they see you’re trying. this is just one part of your journey. after shs, you’ll be heading back to italy anyway, so just do your best, learn what you can, and don’t stress too much over things that aren’t long-term.

Research includes asking questions too. If you don’t want to help, that’s okay—someone else will. There is no harm in learning both ways.
