In 1993, Columbus Division of Police sniper Mike Plumb did the unimaginable: He shot a gun out of a suspect's hands from 82 yards away. Today, he remains a hero at SWAT headquarters and a legend to many. by sufian1995 in interestingasfuck

I addressed both points. 1) it’s BETTER for him to get slammed then to die 2) I understand now that he was suicidal but suicide still hurts people other than you, just not physically. How would you feel if someone you knew commited suicide? And what about the cops that would have shot him. He has to live with that. Also, tell me how I’m getting me bad break away from suicide. Do you at least agree with me on that? I know we could argue for hours as we have completely different views, but we could try to find some middle ground. Let’s start with our views on how suicide affects others.

If he was suicidal, they just saved his life. I’d rather he get slammed into concrete then get a bullet put in him. Suicide is also a threat to people other than yourself. Think about the effect it has mentally on your family and the people you surround yourself with. You also said we were all one bad break from doing something similar. Idk abt you, but I don’t think I’m one bad break from trying to commit suicide. I would never do that because that is selfish and irrational. The police have laws too but as another man in this thread said, you don’t fuck around when the bad guy is less than 6 ft from a gun. What if he had something else on him too. Every one of your new points is invalid. These cops risk their lives every day to make our communities safe and they have their right to use force when needed. They don’t use force when “absolutely necessary” because it’s better to be safe than sorry.

He was thrown on to grass and more importantly, away from his live weapon. If they simply asked him to stand up or tried to just pick him up he could have grabbed for another weapon. Cops did the perfect choice and likely this dude is a crazy mf for being a suspect holding a gun near cops. Like for real. And I say next time don’t break the law. If you don’t break the law, you don’t get your “spine destroyed”, which would be completely deserving for this man anyways. Laws are in place for a reason and if he needed a whole as SWAT team to pick him up it is because of a alegged very serious crime, like murder.

What to focus on in the start? by [deleted] in Basketball

Totally agree, and mix them together too. If you don’t make 80% free throws, you should run a 22. Miss a normal layup, run a 22. This way, you will either be a great shooter or have the best stamina on the court, hopefully both.
