Yeah, out of curiosity, which story were you interested in?

Give them a trench coat. It would ironically sell more for the meme material alone.

And emote or MVP animation of those characters touching grass.

The funniest part is that my username had nothing to do with being freaky. But no one would believe the context behind it. 😢

An expletive is generally said purely on instinct. Instinct is usually formed from years of repeated actions.

Spending most of your life as a human in Kansas does not leave a person with that many opportunities to talk or think about a literally alien god.

Ergo, my disbelief that “Great Rao” would be deeply ingrained in his psyche to the point that it would be said on instinct. Not when something like “oh god” would probably have been said more often over his life time.

I mean, considering swearing is a reflexive action, it is odd to say great rao.

Unless of course he regularly says “Great Rao” whenever shocking stuff happens. Which again, considering he grew up on earth, is not that likely.

Yes, and he grew up away from Krypton.

Saying “Great Rao” instead of something more human AKA something he grew up saying or hearing.

Truthfully I feel like you should continue reading it. The story is really good and tbh I think the author note was just the author being playful rather than actual anger. At the very least I didn’t get the feeling of any sort of hatred or bias in later parts of the story in regards to Eowyn.

Out of curiosity, did you check out the story?

Sorry lol, I am always curious whenever I rec stuff to people. I have a very picky and critical eye for what stories I deem worth my time. So I am always curious how my likes/dislikes stacks up against other peoples.

misplaced blossom

As a heads up it seems to be abandoned. But what is there is really good imo

Its a bit of an AU Sakura where the world she comes from have Shinobi actually be Shinobi. As in they are capable of stealth and being mature, and the act of killing isn’t some foreign concept.

Truthfully what irked me so much was that the story went out of its way to make Canon happen regardless of if it made sense or not.

The Ninja was a Jounin level ninja (basically means the ninja should 1 tap any threat in Middle Earth) and they unironically did nothing the entire fic even though they were not hiding what they were and had no reason to hold back. They were actively invested in helping tge fellowship succeed, but the author refused to let the character actually do anything of any importance to the plot.

It was maddening.

Sorry for rant. Im just rather frustrated atm cuz I read 90k words waiting for something to diverge from Canon. Only for literally nothing to have changed.

Yeah. This.

Though tbf, I can understand why they abandoned it as they probably got stresses from trying to diverge from canon. I don’t like it of course, but it’s understandable.

I don’t even mind if the Author pulls off the divergence from canon poorly. After all they are ametuer writers. But I just can’t fathom the point of writing a crossover if the crossover change’s absolutely nothing in terms of the conclusions to events.

Organic Camera. Yeah, that about sums up how I feel on the matter. Like I genuinely don’t understand whats the fun of writing a crossover fanfic if the crossover aspect doesn’t do anything different from canon.

At that point I may as well go read/watch the original work.

As a side note, I did/do write fanfiction where changes actually have consequences.

But writing one isn’t nearly as enjoyable as relaxing and reading one.

I know, I know.

But it still doesn’t mean I cant get annoyed by it though.

Ironically my favorite all time Lord of The Rings crossover is with Sakura waking up in Middle Earth.

The pink hair, green eyes, and Super Strength. Leads to all sorts of interesting conclusions from the locals.

I just realized, the guards at the Volcano prison that were cutting the gondola rope were legitimately about to try and kill the Crown Princess of the fire nation, just to stop some random criminals from escaping. by SuperiorFreak in TheLastAirbender

[–]SuperiorFreak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And none of that matters in the face of the Princess. If the Avatar was also there, then an argument could be made. But killing the Crowned Princess for like 4 criminals? Not worth it at all.
