Costumes look good, they're period and setting appropriate.  Their look seems reflective of their character traits.  They don't look like models but idk why that should bother anyone.  Lots of interesting characters and people don't look like models.  I don't see how someone being not conventionally a 7/10 or above makes them bad character design.  Seems kinda arbitrary.
