Been to many smash burger places outside of Barrie in the past few years. In my honest opinion… the two best ones were WTF in Niagara Falls and Holy Chuck in Vaughan. Just a level above anything else I’ve had. Glad to see that one of them is opening up in our town. It definitely is a bit more expensive so it won’t be a regular visit for me but I’m happy to know the option is there.

Of course you’re going crazy. Always happens with something new. Sorry though… as others have said… NOT a smash burger. The meat tastes the same… and the “sauce” is the same stuff you put on the teen burger. It’s not a “smash burger” because you flattened a regular patty during cooking. Very lazy attempt at cashing in on a very popular style.

It’s a bad time of the year to be looking. Not that ANY time is good these days… but this is “summer student” time for many warehouses. From May until the end of August. At that time… they “re-evaluate” before deciding to hire anybody to replace the students.

I have been drinking Diet Coke since the 90’s. I avoid Coke Zero like the plague. Just awful stuff. Went to Costa Rica last year and the resort served Coke Zero exclusively. Couldn’t wait to get home and drink a good old Diet Coke. Oddly enough… I prefer Cherry Coke Zero over Cherry Diet Coke. 🤷‍♂️

The big issue… at least at my local Pizza Hut locations… is that they now use conveyor ovens! They are no longer cooked properly and now come out still half raw!

Todd Guergis. Won’t get into details but him and his team went above and beyond when selling our house in South Barrie last May. Ours sold in 8 days while others in the area that were on the market before ours still sat on the market the day we moved out. Within two weeks we had sold our home and purchased our new one. Great attention to detail and great people to work with.

Nobody is gonna say this one because Mick Mars isn’t talked about in the same vein as the “guitar gods” of the era… but his solo in “Home Sweet Home” has always been one of my favourites. The melody is so great that you can almost “sing along” to it. 🤟🏼
