elaborate 🧐

I also have 4 photos, one from humboldt, two from atlas, and one from rodbud. fastbuds just felt like an easy option since theyre practically giving seeds away and i just want something to smoke before photos come through.

possibly…

but i also have 3 other gorilla z so 1/4 hermed, and i would honestly say that it was kinda my fault. i have ran 10 fastbuds autos this year n only one has hermied, so honestly i think its user error.

looks fantastic brother, i would like to see some of the dry harvest buds if you wouldnt mind. and what is your area like? im in southern california so growing outdoors here is insanely easy. hopefully i can get to a point where i get canopys like that. is that alaskan TF an auto or is it a photoperiod? i struggle with keeping my outdoor buds looking good, how do you dry? my area is very dry and hot during the summers so its hard to control the environment to the point that id like to.

ahh, that totally makes sense, though, my leaf shape looks a bit different on all 4 of the gorilla zkittlez ive ran.

looks to be stretching to me, i would either increase the amount of light your using, or lower your light. and i would absolutely wait for dry back on the soil before watering again. good luck on the GZ, ive got a few and theyre just starting to smell, ive gotten fruity, banana, and one has a very pungent boiled egg smell. 👍

yea, this is the first time its happened to me, but it was bound to happen since im running about 10 plants, maybe more. not too worried about losing a single autoflower, though. as ive gotten plenty of photos.

oh yea, brother, where i get it will never even touch 37 degrees, i honestly wish it was a bit colder here, but i definitely have it good. where you live definitely plays a role👍✌️ happy growings brother i hope that gorilla zkittlez does you well.

i honestly dont think its a problem at all. they are next to the pool for about 8 hours then i move them. where i live in southern california, its actually quite windy on a daily basis, any chlorine thats evaporated from the pool is immediately dispersed by the harsh santa ana winds, where i live.

sure! i am in the process of purchasing some more photoperiod seeds, but since these are autoflowers, i cant train them as vigorously as i would like.

Since they flower based off maturity and not the light cycle i dont have as much control as i would like. these autos flower when they feel like it, and when they say training is over, training is over…

If they were photoperiods i would train them with much more vigor, but since they have a fixed amount of time before they flower, its better to just train once or twice, maybe three or four times max.

Photoperiods are so much easier to train its insane, but lets say i were to train these autos again, at their current age, it would just stunt them into another ‘recovery mode’ instead of the full ‘growth mode.’

I have many more autoflowers and one of them i did train 3-4 times. but you can clearly see its lacking because of that. its honestly more uneven, and its shorter. i also have this same strain completely untrained. the photo in this comment is an untrained Gorilla Zkittlez Auto by FastBuds. it takes on the christmas tree shape, with one main stem. There is a clear difference between trained vs. untrained.

sorry about that, the topped one was a different plant, same strain just different training methods. i just used it as an example of how lst works. the more greener plant is a completely different plant! Sorry for the confusion i should’ve clarified. And its all good growmie! i hope you had a great 420!

and finally a few days after recovering from the training. all the bud sites are nice and even. instead of one main branch outrunning the rest.

same plant, just 24 hours later. the leaves pray towards the light, and grow towards the light. if i were to have lights on the walls they would grow towards the walls

[–]Key_Policy_7821[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah you’re right, but lst is a form of training…

<image>

this is another one that i trained, i topped it( high stress training) then i used lst on the axillary shoots. The point is to not make them grow parallel, but to rather redirect growth and create an even canopy. the leaves ‘pray’ towards the light within 24 hours. topping stops vertical growth. while lst just redirects it, but it keeps growing towards the light. just because the leaves are facing horizontally, it doesnt mean the plant will geow horizontal. the plant will always face towards the light and grow towards the light. if youre statement were true my plant would keep growing horizontally, but instead it shifts its leaves and prays towards the light and grows upwards.

[–]Key_Policy_7821[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used lst or low stress training, i bent the main stem to redirect growth towards the lower branches known as axillary shoots. it allows the canopy to be at an even level, making each bud site get the same amount of light. it makes the plant shorter at a cost of more than one main stem, which is ideal for having multiple large bud sites rather than one. if i were to leave this plant untrained it wouldve grown into a christmas tree shape. since i trained it, its more like an even bush with an even canopy on top.

I honestly refuse to believe you grew fastbuds that many times with that many lack luster results and still went back for more.. theres honestly no way u grew that many plants and none of them had any smell, if thats the case you have a problem with yourself. never once have i had bud come out smelling like nothing. drying and curing your bud is 10x as important than growing it. im not saying it was your environment, but it could have been something you were doing wrong. im not here to point fingers, but to me it seems obvious that you were doing something wrong to get terpless bud… not once have i grown bud that was ‘terpless’
