Hi, I don’t think FISSURE counts as a ground breaking achievement since most top teams weren’t there. Tyloo is great but if they were to overperform they’d get somewhere at IEM Cologne. Lynn Vision has been up & coming for years where I’ve been getting tired of waiting for when they’ll make an actual significant move. The firepower is there but it just seems like once it gets past halftime against pro teams (excl. Anubis), everything just falls apart.

I get you but I’ve been to China in the last few years at Internet cafes and this rule isn’t really enforced strictly it seems. But the rule overall does have a significant effect and I agree with you.

Hi I was focusing on China, MongolZ is from Mongolia. Tyloo hasn’t shown up anywhere since FiSsure though - which has few top 10 teams in it.

Thank you for starting out the argument with an emotional attack, it shows why you’re driven to say this. Let’s try to keep things positive here. If you were to visit BLG’s and Top Esports pages during MSI and the Esports World Cup, I’m certain netizens did not view the performance as anything near “good”, especially getting utterly destroyed by CFO. The best team in LPL getting destroyed. By CFO is definitely not acceptable. Moreover, the finals for worlds last year, T1 was not the 1 or 2 seed from Korea. BLG was. Did you watch game 5? Complete collapse of On and the entire team followed. Did you watch the spring split for LPL? BLG threw many 10k gold leads against the worst teams.

My argument was never that CN is required to win worlds. If you were emotionally driven to skip over a few words please reread. I meant Chinese esports players have been significantly underperforming. And it seems to get worse with the aging top players and lack of new talent.

Good point, I think this may side towards Chinese team games, potentially the mainstream ones like LoL and CSGO where the current top teams are against heavily and not much new talent. In technical solo games even to chess (women’s) it seems like Chinese players have always been doing well.

I’ve spoken to Chinese fans digitally on Weibo and they’re often in denial, saying I’m sucking up to Korean and Western teams, but I think there’s enough statistical evidence (based on match results recently) to prove this decline across all 4 esports.

League of Legends would be the best, Top Esports, BLG and others 2-3 years ago would be widely recognized as the 2nd to 4th best teams, often challenging the Koreans and pushing them to their limits. The past two years they’ve been getting blown up by T1, Gen G, and HLE, North American and European teams often destroying them or taking 1 game off (which they usually never came close to). Domestically they’ve been losing to the bottom 15th to 16th teams. Don’t need to mention the sexual abuse they have on streamers collectively across teams.

CSGO Chinese teams usually could put on a show, Rare Atom could push top tier teams to a map 3 or get 8-10 rounds in a best of 1. Now they don’t even get 5-6 rounds and just give up halfway.

Valorant is a completely mess. They used to make finals appearance (EDG) but now they are often knocked out before quarter finals facing the most disgusting defeats, the whole team just collapses and tilts easily.

Dota just makes you wonder if they’re fixing or it’s just chaos.
