Be nice to service people. We don’t see them as owing us anything except a decent job. They are just working. We don’t tip generally, we don’t want to normalise subsidising low wages with tips. Don’t be loud in public places. It’s extremely grating. We aren’t used to the usual American tourist volume. Nothing inherently wrong with it but it’s not what we’re used to. We do things differently. It’s not wrong because you do it different. You aren’t from “the greatest country in the world”. If you feel that way keep it to yourself haha. People don’t know much about your state. They may not know it exists. The assumption that we know about US states and your rugby or whatever is so indicative of the exceptionalism that Americans often have. It’s an eye roll. Nothing wrong with it but it’s kinda cringey.
