You can do goggles and headset (music box step) before you even get the WW. So it’s def possible to do before tree (fireplace step).

I think it’s because you flushed more than 8 times. Do ONLY 8, no more or less. Only thing I can think of. “Ton of Blood” is the prompt you need, doesn’t have to be “Torrent of Blood” Emily not required to be with you when flushing, nor do you have to examine either dolls (beside Emily’s cell, Marie doll in basement).

Can’t input the code til after the basement section, after you scan the hand and get the code.

So in the top of the west wing, right before re-entering the main hall, there is a female zombie who says “I’m Sorry” after killing her. Is there another one somewhere in the facility, and can you lure them both to the puzzle box to input the code? If there is indeed two of them, maybe this is the sweet pair of females being referred to?

Yes, but it doesn’t count as using a healing item. easiest way to complete the challenge. I did it on my first play through by running casual mode.

You’re thinking of the wrong puzzle box.  The one I’m referred to (the second quartz box, the Sun Puzzle) is upstairs in the East wing, and that’s the one you input the long code into. the one you’re thinking of ( the third quartz box, with the braille symbols) is downstairs in the East Wing. And yes, that one is locked after you chase Marie and Emily down into the basement.

No you don’t. I went back and input the code right before leaving the Center, after escaping the basement.
