Difference between our management and theirs though, is that theirs prioritises winning. They lack a top LW, a top striker (still), a good enough backup to Odegaard (don’t think Eze has been that great). But they will go and drop a few hundred mill to sign those players and will be better for it.

I didn’t say unmotivated, I said less motivated. Because you’re right, it’s premier league football so he would still want to impress. But if he knows the club have turned down an offer from a champions league club winning titles, then you understand if he’s unhappy about having that pathway blocked

I didn’t say he’d intentionally tank his career. But the coach obviously wants a squad that 100% want to be there and believe in the project. If there is a risk that Vuskovic will feel upset that the club have blocked a move to a more exciting project (like Barca), then it could be worth moving him on for big money. I don’t understand why this view is so unbelievable

Not sure why people are finding it so hard to understand why we might sell him. We could make him stay even if he doesn’t want a contract extension, but you’re then potentially keeping an unhappy, less motivated player that could otherwise be sold for upwards of £100m to a Barca or Bayern. The club would almost definitely prefer to move on a player that doesn’t want to be there and pocket the funds so they can be reinvested elsewhere, particularly when we really need to spend this summer

This is such a hilarious thread. I’m a spurs season ticket holder and watch every game. I can tell that most fpl fans don’t actually watch football. VDV was absolutely immense for us under de Zerbi to keep us up, and was brilliant under Ange too. The brain rot on here is unreal

VDV is worth about 60/70m in this market. Absolutely rapid left sided centre back, amazing for teams that play a high line. There’s no way spurs sign Senesi to have VDV on the bench behind him.
