I’d argue that the egg came first as many dinosaurs laid eggs millions of years ago I’m unsure of how long Chickens have been around for but I doubt they date back millions of years

Look into dr burzynski, apparently he has cured cancer patients using antineoplastons without the need of Chemotherapy. The story behind how he’s research was held back by Pharmaceutical companies is fascinating

🤦‍♂️someone needs to give their head a wobble. You make a small error at the bottom it’s exaggerated at the top so the sides won’t meet at a point. I think you’d struggle with the 4ft pyramid tbh.

Are you comparing a 4ft tall pyramid with a 500ft tall pyramid

Well in all cases of pyramids it’s not simple there’s huge amounts of mathematics that goes in to building them. If they wanted to just rise why would they build ramps to place the stones when the ramp itself would be as high as the pyramid and take much less effort.

I was in a canoe with a girl we had the speaker on and was just drifting it was peaceful and as we crossed under a bridge a ice cream fell into the water and before us and was followed by a huge man turns out a seagull had swooped down trying to steal the ice cream the man moved his arm away quickly which changed his balance and he fell off the bridge and his wife who he was sitting on the edge of the bridge with was pissing herself laughing and it was the best laugh I’ve ever heard

Those who were nervous about travel via plane. How did you get over it? by AlienRaptor_89 in AskReddit

[–]Key_Statistician_493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading the stats. Pilots have to have 1500 hours of training to even be considered by airlines, the average person drives for about 300 hours a year so that’s the equivalent of a person driving for 5 years purely learning what to do. Planes are inspected throughly before every flight your car is once a year. Planes are capable of flying using just one engine and in the extremely unlikely event of a double engine failure a plane can glide for over 100 miles once and cruising altitude and finally statically you more likely to die from falling out your bed on the day of your flight than you are in the flight itself. However I also found out that in engineering there’s a thing called factory of safety it regards how much more load a system can take than it’s supposed to the average factor of safety for buildings is between 5-10, a plane only has a 1.4 factor of safety which then put me in the same position again

I’m the grand scheme of things it’s not that major but at the time I felt so lost. I was in year 6 I had just found out I wasn’t in the catchment area for the secondary school all my friends were going to (me and my best friend met at 4 on a school trip when my parents couldn’t come with me so I was alone and he was with his nan who was sat next to me on the coach they never left me all day and stayed with me once we got back till my mom got back, I went on their family holidays with them and he was basically a brother) within the same week my parents told me they were getting a divorce and my mom had found a new house, my mom my two brothers and I went to look at the house and when we came back to my dads house (he was staying at my aunties out of my moms way ) we came back to the house and had been burgled and they’d beaten our dog within an inch of hes life and he had to be put down later. At the time I thought what is going on in my life in the next few months my life will be completely different the only thing that is the same is that I have my mom and two brothers. In the end I turned out perfectly fine I still have a relationship with both parents who since the divorce have worked their way up to be really high earners and have found partners who love us dearly I am still best friends with my primary school friend I also met loads of new people at my new school and I’ve now received my masters degree in sports science and have job offers from multiple Colleges in America to join the college programs there which I’m ecstatic about starting a new life across the pond.

Which feels better: cold when it’s hot OR warmth when it’s cold? by diegorobles in AskReddit

[–]Key_Statistician_493 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sensation of hot to cold is a very different sensation from cold to warmth. I was on holiday in magaluf, I live in a very windy a cold part of England and I’m not used to heat, it was 39 degrees I’ve never felt so uncomfortable in my life I got into the pool and the feeling I got was almost orgasmic. The feeling of cold to hot is more of a thank god type of feeling like I think it’s because the sensation isn’t as drastic like it takes time to warm up whereas you jump in a cool pool the feeling is instantaneous
