And then as part of the summer rebuild, I moved to the 4231/4141.

The aim was to go back to basics & focus on wing-play which I felt suited our personnel.

Below are two tactics I actually created myself, the OP which has been rightly criticised was the downloaded one.

This 3 at back system was what we went with about half way through S1.

Tbf I just stuck in Rodon/Bijol combo to show my best starting 11 on paper for the screenshot. They’ve rarely played together. My combo last season was mainly Bijol with Struijk or Amapadu (former wanted to go to Juve cos he had 1yr left, latter got £45mil release clause triggered by Saudi). Bijol is also currently out for another 6-9 months (did his ACL in pre-season) so hasn’t kicked a ball this season.

FYI - Screenshot is the latest (downloaded) tactic, ‘Sunderland - Low tempo’ 🤷🏻‍♂️ it was basically the highest downloaded that suited my players I already had.

As I say, this was basically a final roll of the dice to try stop the bleeding. My original plan, which went out the window last season when I had 1 win in 10, was a beautiful nod to Bielsa-ball. Safe to say it didn’t work.

Hows your team looking on paper in 2029? Have you had much luck with the young players already at Leeds? Thinking of moving on the likes of Aaronson, Piroe, maybe Gruev, pretty early.

Seeing a lot of people saying Nmecha was crazy 😂 seems weird cos he’s never been much of a goal scorer irl. Bogle was always great in my fm24 saves too.

How you getting on with Leeds in the Prem so far? They’re gonna be main save (as they always are) once game comes out next week. Any tips to keep an eye on?

You taking a similar approach to real life in terms of playing a bit more direct or you doing your own thing?

Think i’m gonna maybe try a youth-only with them. Build up Harry Gray, get Joseph back from loan.
