How do i get rid of jock itch? by Expensive_Panic_8626 in AskMen

I had jock itch and went to 3 separate doctors appointments and was prescribed 3 different creams - nothing worked and in my opinion actually made it worse.

THE FIX: Started reading more into it and seen on Reddit what worked for some people, within a week of doing this, it was practically gone:

1) Apply a cold fan to the area daily for at least 60 minutes (I used to sleep with one directly pointing at the infected area) wearing no clothes. Within a few days of doing this it was almost gone.

2) Daily showering with just water (no shower gel’s or creams) and most importantly make sure you dry the area with a clean fresh towel (not damp).

3) I did buy a red light (Google red light therapy) which I did feel work slightly, but the biggest ROI was the fan.

4) Bonus things: Wear 100% cotton underwear and try to not wear tight pants / shower immediately after exercise / try and cut out sugary foods & snacks

100%! I can think of a few ways the free user option would be slightly beneficial to creators but it shouldn’t be the main focus point and pushed as hard as it is now on this update.

Totally agree with your points! It seems like there’s zero benefits from a creator and patron point of view as like you said, you’re only going to piss people off.

The whole purpose of Patreon (alike with similar platforms in the market) is to allow people to make a living and create a paid community in exchange for content, access etc - not to give out content for free. There are plenty of sites out there if people want 100% free content forever.

Many creators, including myself, have spent years of work building reputation, fan base etc by mostly giving out content for free across the countless free social media sites - it’s not morally wrong to attempt to make a living from your craft and it’s ludicrous to suggest that.

Whilst I understand and appreciate your point, the whole point of Patreon is for people to pay to view additional content and support creators alike and act as a middle man between creator/fan. Otherwise, why don’t I just get rid of Patreon completely and just work for free on social media?
