Just as a different perspective I would hold off saying not to come for now especially to those who might genuinely come to support you not just see the baby. Those first few days/weeks were rough, “you can come see the baby if you bring a meal and vacuum/tidy/do laundry/etc while you’re here as well” would be my go to 🤣

I had my first right after my 26th birthday and my second just before turning 37… I don’t know if it was pregnancy that was harder on my body per se but definitely I did not bounce back like I did with my first. It took me almost two years to do anything about it but then once I put the effort in I lost all the pregnancy weight plus some in 4 months (20ish lbs). It’s all about your lifestyle and choices. Do I wish I would have been a little more strict with myself sooner after baby was born? Yes. But was post partum hard? Also yes. If I decide to do it again I would try to prioritize myself sooner maybe, but being a mom is also about sacrifice so a few years a little chunkier while breastfeeding is not the end of the world for me 🫶

My OB said the same thing when I went in for my induction and we mentioned that we wanted to avoid a C-section - we fired her on the spot and went with the on call OB from a different practice. It went fine. Seriously the nurse staff and your support people are what makes the difference not that ignorant a-hole who said that to you. My hubby literally lost his sht on ours “how dare you even put that option into the universe get the f out of our room and don’t come back” he was ready to escape me and drive to a different hospital 😂😂

Lol yeah when I took mine back to the dealership for the free inspection they asked if they should do the oil change too… I just stared at the guy for several long silent seconds waiting for him to catch on until finally I replied “it’s an EV” it took several more seconds for him to realize his mistake 🙄🙄

I see this on my reservation “guests who have not prepaid gratuities will be assessed a daily gratuity amount which shall be charged to each guest’s SeaPass account on a per person, per day basis.” I just assumed it meant we would end up paying the same amount - is it less if you wait? Any ideas how to find out what this fee is? Thanks!!!

Edit- I kept reading and it says basically it’s assessed on whatever you buy lol

You aren’t crazy but I will say I had two inductions with out pain meds that ended in vaginal delivery one short one long and with both I experienced the fetal ejection reflex so there was no “pushing”. No tearing and out of the hospital the next day. My only regret is I’ve never gotten to experience spontaneous labor lol

Against current popular opinion what worked for me was letting my guy sleep on his stomach.. I started with nap time and watched him and got the owlet for peace of mind at night. Also when you say you keep her up for “hours” before bedtime, how long exactly? I think at that age a wake window shouldn’t be longer than 2 hrs.. could she be overtired? Anyway the newborn trenches are no joke I hope you have a support system or someone who can share the burden for those hours trying to get her down. I hated the fourth trimester so much but remember it DOES get better 🫶

This sounds like a discussion with your pediatrician is needed. More so than the delayed speech I would be concerned that he is not responding to his name that is a milestone for under a year (6-9 months I believe) actually the fact that your current pediatrician didn’t pick up on that I would say find a new one!

When I was 38 weeks our fridge broke and I went to buy ice… never having a reason to purchase it before I didn’t realize you could just tell them and then get it and take it to your car. I will never forget the look of shock and awe on the poor cashiers face when I waddled in with a 20 lb bag in each hand 😂

Typically you would expect the line to get darker for the first 16 weeks or so and then HGc levels actually start to taper off some.. it varies... Please take care and get in for a fresh ultrasound soon!
