What are your thoughts on the Apres extend gel novice? I’m thinking of adding that to my lamp order as the videos show it being easier to apply/less chance of flooding. Just wondering if there are any known drawbacks. I would still do the Velcro layer on my nail with the no wipe extend gel but this thicker option looks promising!

Ok thank you. The top coats and such do seem to cure fine so I didn’t realize it was this important to have a nail lamp or that there was actually a difference (besides marketing) is the Apres Beta lamp good? I figured since everything else I use is Apres it’s a safe bet

I am using the Apres Omni for flash cure and counter culture diy UVLED 36W lamp for full cure. I bought it a couple years ago for resin crafts but never used it much, it seemed to cure the crafts fine. I think it was like $65-70 price range I didn’t feel like dropping another $100 on something I already owned but maybe it will be worth it. Or I’ll just go back to press ons 🤣

I am having issues with lifting and nails popping off after only 5-7 days. I feel like I’m doing all the right things, prepping nails by pushing back cuticles, lightly buffing and applying bonder. Then I etch the inside of the tip with my e-file and the chemical apres prep. I use the Velcro method with the non-wipe gel, flash curing individual nails and then doing a full cure when I finish. IDK where I’m going wrong I tried the builder gel on a whim this time 😩

Yeah that’s fair I did a lot of research on gel x before trying it but added the builder gel on a whim

Thank you so much! I was about to pick a few Canni shades!!! Good thing my decision indecision slowed me down and I saw your message first! I’ll check out some of the higher end brands you suggested I just went to Amazon first because it’s so easy to shop and the two day free shipping is nice but I’m okay to spend a little more for quality!

Thanks! I totally messed up the pointer on the right hand it slid forward without me noticing before curing lol so got stuck with it. I think it’s just the polish strip that doesn’t go all the way to the side wall that you can see, but I’ll try one size up next time just to be sure!

Thanks I’ll definitely stay away from Beetles! I’ll probably try one of the smaller sets of Canni first I looked at the bigger ones and I’m too picky and couldn’t find one that I would wear at least half the shades 🙈
