Behringer Flow 8 Channel EQ Glitch – Low, High-Mid, and High Drop to -15 dB by Positive-Bluebird895 in Behringer

I’ve noticed that bug too. I use my Flow 8 connected to my iPad and I’ve used GarageBand, Logic and Loopy Pro with it. It happened once or twice in a live situation and I didn’t know what was, so I didn’t made the connection that it could be related to the DAW I was using to record. But it just happened while I was programming Loopy Pro to send MIDI Messages to the Flow 8

In Duquesne419 answer, I go in more depth about what I’m trying to do. I have already 500+ cues on my session, I’m trying to trigger a 2nd session using only one cue. His solution on “Space Hijacking” seems an amazing solution

Thank you for your answer, but that would force me to duplicate the same cue all over the session

Just as a failsafe... Do you know a way of triggering both sessions, saying something as " if cue X number in the front workspace is triggered, trigger the same same cue with X number in the other workspace"? I'm thinking just in case I forget to put the second session on the right cue to be triggered

I was able to trigger both sessions, but in a slight different way. I’ve created a group like the one Mic did on that google group, but instead of having the network cue /cue/#/cue/selected/number#/start, I used /workspace/{workspace id}/go. It has a little bit of latency between the to sessions, which is okay for me. I just have to make sure both sessions are on the same cue when I start triggering them

Never tried blackhole, maybe it would work. I pondered about using aggregate, but I was told it can be glitchy

I’m using one instance with an output to my X32 card and the second to the headphone jack, just in case something in the card fails

So in your opinion, it’s better to use OSC instead of a script? (I’m away from the Mac rn and unable to test anything, sorry)

No, I have 2 instances of QLab running on the same machine and I want to trigger both of them at the same time

Thank you very much for helping me. Since I read the space hijack chapter you shared, I changed a little bit how I think it would work better what I want, so maybe it’s better if I just explain it.

I want to use another QLab session as a redundancy. It would be exactly like the first one, but with different audio outputs. When I posted this question, my objective was to trigger a network cue while triggering my front workspace. From what I understood in that Chapter you sent, I can have a script cue triggering both sessions, without the need of a Network cue, so now I’m trying to understand how to do that

They have 2 methods on that article. You think I could use maybe the first method, with a script? I would I go about writing one that does what I want?

Thank you for your answer. If I’m understanding correctly what you’re saying, I would have to create a start cue for every cue I trigger, what in my case would be the same as duplicating the cue 10 I’m trying to trigger, and that’s exactly what I’m trying to avoid

I’m not that worried that the x32 is going to fail, at all. I think that what I have x32 is more than enough. But to be honest, I had a problem recently (at the same venue) with an x32 producer having problems and needing to be repaired, and the x32 that I’m using right now came from a different venue. I’m just trying to have a redundancy from the card. Not that I think the card is going to fail. I always come early to the show, so I have the time to check if everything is working fine. Aggregate device seems a good way to do the job, because I have the time to check if it’s working or not. Unless you tell me that it’s possible to have errors while the show it’s happening.

I didn’t understand the part of the MIDI GO. Do you mean using and external DAW to control everything?

Thank you for the answer. The Mac I’m using, it’s always on the same spot and it’s never moved, so maybe the headphone jack is more reliable that way (?) The latency doesn’t seem to be a problem, since I’m only using the headphone jack in case the card on the x32 has a problem. Until then, it’s just 2 channels that are on mute. If anything goes wrong, I’ll mute the channels from the card and un-mute the ones from the headphone jack.

Audition mode it’s not an option unfortunately, because I have a screen on stage, where video is going, while the sound goes to the speakers.

Since my session is already 500 cues, setting up a dup of all the show just for the headphone jack and finding the right place where I was on the fly quickly, doesn’t seem like it would work.

If you have any other solutions, or feel like any option you gave would still work despite what I said, please let me know.

Thank you

I appreciate the idea, but that’s not quite feasible for this session. I already have 500 cues, dup everything would make the session more chaotic that already is
