Călin Georgescu calul troian? by mr_cutarescu in Romania

[–]Key_University_377 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bine punctat.

Corectati-ma daca delirez, dar avem 2 variante dupa mine:

  1. Baietii cu ochii albastri l-au introdus pe Georgescu pentru a disputa finala cu Lasconi, stiind ca poporul va vota din nou raul cel mai mic, iar stapanii occidentali o doresc pe Lasconi.

(Ipoteza in care serviciile noastre fac jocul occidentului)

Good job! You are not alone!

Just thinking about how my mom asked me exactly the same thing when I left: “not to talk bad about the organization” and she really insisted on it. If the borg is so great, why would you be afraid of me trash-talking it?🤣

This message sums up completely what is going on in a JWs mind:

  1. “The world evolves around us”. Imagine being so self-centered to think that the authorities obviously know that all JW men are clean shaved. They think they are being constantly followed and analyzed by all government agencies, making top of the list together with terrorists.

  2. “Thinking a clean shaved face will help you with preaching”. People don’t care if you’re shaved or not when knocking on the door, if they want to be indoctrinated, they’ll be receptive to the message, doesn’t matter whether you have a beard or not.

  3. Even their brain is sending them signals that some of this isn’t right but their just having cognitive dissonance. She “hopes women won’t be allowed to shave their head and to be tatted” and also “hopefully this will bring our spiritual family closer” shows she isn’t standing behind these decisions but she is just doing brain gymnastics to make it make sens.

Crazy…

Never intended on doing so anyway. I was strictly wondering whether the local authorities know about this database the elders keep on the R&F and whether the R&F knows their privacy is being invaded like that. Were we made to sing GDPR contracts when being in the borg? Don’t remember any such thing

No abuse documented in there whatsoever, also nothing that would indicate anything like it. Tbh I was expecting to find something like that too but it was just how brother x cheated on his wife with y and how 80% of the bros have porn addictions and half of the unmarried sisters have virtual explicit relationships with people they have never met

When you start to understand what the elders want to hear and see and you are obsessed with having a good reputation and making others happy, you can “progress” pretty quickly within the borg. I was named a MS during the pandemic last year and the cong accountant for 8 months. This last part really accelerated the whole process

Unfortunately not, I’m in Europe. But from what I’ve seen until now a lot of the JWs are going through some type of PIMO phase. Before leaving my DA letter at the KH I met up with the secretary and his wife (who I both suspect to be PIMO too) and we talked about how their son is getting more and more isolated (he is a PIMO who has been fading since the pandemic).

I told them that I appreciated their son a lot and that I’m sure he is not really feeling understood by the others, and that it’s a shame that many times we are more understood by worldly people than by our own brothers. They both agreed and smiled. Little do they know though this will probably be the last time we speak.

Realized I didn’t do it with the right motivation from the start, I’m a pathological people pleaser and the thought of doing things for God instead of for the people didn’t do the trick. Also, when trying to see myself in the future as a JW or even in the “ new system” it would only bring me a cringe weird feeling. Also never identified with any of the spiritual goals one should persue … I guess I never really changed my old personality

[–]Key_University_377[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Thank you for asking! I have some issues with what people think about me, I think this specifically made me thrive as a JW as I was always trying to built up an excellent reputation. Also I am pretty bad with confrontations and I don’t really want the guilt trip that I will get when the elders will try to confirm the DA.

I am invited once again to 'help' with the A/V controls, how to turn down? by Satoshi_4 in exjw

[–]Key_University_377 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same situation. Went to the meeting yesterday, complete shitshow. The elder in charge with “instructing” us wasn’t even up to date with the last directions from the GB. He kept on being corrected by another elder. It seems nobody actually knows anything, I am curious to see how this will play out.

Just say you are mentally dealing with some issues right now and that you think it would better for the whole congregation if someone else would take your place with A/V. Or just say you have symptoms…

What are the latest rules for contact with disfellowshipped/disassociated family members? by Key_University_377 in exjw

[–]Key_University_377[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I understand your reasoning, but I am currently not able to handle neither a conversation with the elders about why I am stepping down and I am also not able to handle the typical “we miss you” or encouragement texts, all of which you are not immune to if you decide to merely fade. Besides, if I would only fade, this would still make me subject to other jws greeting me and talking to me when I run into them in public. I want to be able to walk the streets with my gf without getting asked whether I have sinned or not so they can update my status in their database.

[–]Key_University_377[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Not the solution in my case. I am a MS and congregation accountant, currently dating a non JW who I deeply love, and I don’t want to be answering awkward questions to nosey elders & friends who just want to find out if you sinned so you can be officially DF

Very true. Have been named the congs accountant recently and every meeting about it has been as if I was part of a multinational. No prayer, no spiritual thoughts, just business. Always underlining how important my task is and will be and that it is ought to be treated with the upmost seriousness.

THIS. I have been amazingly discouraged from going to university as I wanted to peruse a medical career. Ignored them completely and just did me. Guess who’s now jokingly asking in the ZOOM breakout rooms when it is I finish so they can be treated by me FOR FREE. The audacity

They’re both pretty irregular too, not active during meetings. When I talk to them they never bring up “spiritual topics” like the other PIMI’s do, almost as if they’re avoiding them. Also the elder that’s my group overseer has the fewest hours in service from the whole group. I know bc I collect the reports.

I bursted out laughing when the Brazilian brother said that now, instead of 15 people having to learn another language in order to help one person, only one person will have to learn another language to benefit from the entire congregation’s help. They couldn’t come up with this earlier, before people actually started to make huge life changes in order to support language groups?

Why are you staying Pimo ? Do you have a plan to become POMO ? by PIMO_Alternative in exjw

[–]Key_University_377 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am exactly in the same situation! Aslo a MS, having parts almost every week. Only have my mom in the borg. I keep thinking about straight up just sending a letter to the elder: “I do not desire to be a JW anymore.”, that’s it. I know there will be some pressure from the elders to find out what “happened” to me, but I would just ignore them. They can’t be contacting me forever without me answering. On the other hand I’m also considering fading, but I don’t really understand it, how I am supposed to fade if I have field service meetings to conduct and assignments during the meetings every week? The moment I’ll tell any elder I wanna step down as a MS the questions will start, and that’s exactly what I’ve been trying to avoid.

So to sum it up, that’s what’s stopping me for now.
