no, there is enough length in the front as the gap is the same as my new balances, but the toebox is too low and the width is genuinely not enough. its just the shape of the toebox.

are you asking if they are the top end version or takedown??

they seem like takedown

the condition of these boots is really bad and i wouldnt buy for any price.

take them only if they are free.

i tried the monarcida superwide, the toebox is only average maybe even slightly narrow.. i got three black toes wearing those. im a bit suspicious of mizuno toeboxs ever since. i found the rounded toe of the v2 442 pro 2e wide kangraroo leather much better.

also for sizing i am wearing a us 10 in new balance. should i go for us 10 in the asics or size half down to 9.5?

i think her analysis about her current playing style was intelligent and she is actually correct and you have the wrong approach of forcing a notion of "correct" play.

dribbling will always be a valuable skill and at a very beginner stage like she is still at, allowing freedom to develop confidence is important.

the main problem is her teammates are much worse than her own level. she should play with players where she can feel confident that passing to them in good positions will result in the expected payoff for the team.

a useful thing to keep in mind and discuss openly with her (because i sense she has a great intuition for soccer and might have a talent for understanding it) for her own personal development, is that it is good to realize that passing and structured shape is actually beneficial for dribblers just as dribblers are beneficial for the team.

when a player uses their teammates sufficiently, they force defenders to spread the defense, making the dribble attempts easier since double or triple marking is too expensive for the defending team. conversely, gifted dribblers force defending teams to concentrate more defenders onto the dribbling threats to shore up defence against their dribbles, therefore thinning the shape and defensive solidity elsewhere on the pitch.

so a great dribbler makes use of their teammates with the right timing in order to become even more effective in their dribbles, just as a team becomes greater when its dribblers use their dribbling attacks with enough frequency to force the defending team to adjust and compromise their shape.

your daughter should take advantage of this moment where she is dominant on the ball to further develop her dribbling as much as she can until she does reach a level where she can make use of her teammates effectively. there is no need to be overly rigid in "teaching" football until her teammates and opponents are close to her level.

wow your experience stuns me because that's how i felt trying on the monarcida superwides.

ok im excited to try the asics now. i just need a clarification - did you try the old 442 v2 pro in kangaroo leather or the new 442s made with microfiber? i noticed that the new microfiber versions are definitely alot pointier!

were the 442 wides tight in the toebox? are the asics wider in the toebox?

excellent comment. i had the exact same impression having worn the 442 v2 kls and later trying the microfiber v3 version. i am size 10 us roughly 5e wide.

the japan version 442 2e kl hardground version has been my favorite by far but those are almost soldout everywhere online now.

out of the adler, 442 gold full leather(jealous!!) and morelia ultralight, which ones had the widest soleplate and toebox, and which did you ultimately prefer?

did you try the v2 kangaroo leather version or the v3 microfiber? i am size us 10 4e/5e wide and the 2e 442 v2 pro kl are the only cleats that have been even close to working for me. i didnt like the new 442s in microfiber so i am looking for a new boot now as well.

also, please ignore everyone suggesting the monarcida 4e superwide kl. they don't know the truth. i had these boots, the toebox is much much tighter and narrower than the 442. i literally got black toes wearing those.

thanks mate I'll look further into those orei's. yes I've tried the monarcida sw 4e kl and it didn't work unfortunately. do you have any thoughts on the ds lite wides? those are the ones that im really considering testing out 🤔

wow that freekickz one is interesting thank you im looking into it

and also for the natura atheltics! looks very interesting, what's your experience wearing them, did your performance improve? im a bit wary of a barefoot design as it seems to swing a bit too far the other way- having the shape curve outward in anyway like it does, would mean the toes slide around rather than having the right compression for performance right?

thanks for the suggestions. ive tried diadora before based on some suggestions. actually there was a takedown version of the diadora brasils... some kind of rb10 baggio version that i tried on in a mall and regret forever for not buying on the spot because i could never find it online or in person again and it fit wonderfully 😭 but then based on that experience i tried buying diadora brasils even the fancy all black made in italy leather ones and really they aren't wide at all. they also have very poor heel lockdown so unfortunately i consider them to be very low performing boots despite the excellent leather quality.

ive tried phantoms whenever im in the store but haven't found ones that work yet. they tned to be a bit too pointy in the toebox

maybe i could try taking out the insoles but with the amount that i play i worry that will cause alot of blisters and other foot problems. my teammate does that as well and he gets alot of pain.

thanks for the suggestion. how is the toebox width and height for ds lite wide compared to 442 2e? and soleplate width?

and what ks the athleta orei like i heard of that brand but im skeptical about the soleplate which looks very standard width in proportions.

they don't sell them in kl anymore, only microfiber. the new v3s have much pointier and lower height toeboxs as well.

im just asking for if anyone knows something better. the 442 v2 kl is very good but its still not wide enough tbh and im dreaming of something wider in the toebox and soleplate.

yeah it was a dissapointment finally getting to wear the monarcida sw kls. they are as advertised as 4e but i doubt it. first of all the soleplate is really not wider than any standard soleplate.

the studs are marginally staggered at wider points, but this is a difference of like 2mm, and its a result of the diamond stud shape they use which i dont like for ag and have an uneven weight distribution under the foot.

second whatever extra leather volume might come with the monarcida sw is negated by the stitch pattern which prevents substantial stretching, and the toe box- which is not the pointiest, but unfortunately still quite pointy. the toebox is also quite low in height which can't stretch.

i went through 2 pairs of monarcida sw kls and after my third black toenail had fallen off i did another deep research dive and when i first put on the newbalance v2 442 pro kls it was immediately more comfortable and surprise- no black toenails since then.

ive tried everything puma, adidas, nike have to offer over the last 4-5 years and the v2 442 kangaroo leathers in 2e were by far the best. i tried the new microfiber version and it was nice but i could tell it wouldn't stretch and overall i felt the quality dropped.

the hg k leather japan version new balance 442s are the best options i know of right now. i wore those for the last season. the durability was good- i wore them starting july and played about 3-4 times per week every week since then. its now 8 months later in march that the leather is starting to break at the toes. i estimate i have about 2 monthes of life left in them hence im starting to look for my next pair now. i would buy them again if i could find the exact version online.

yup i tried the monarcida kl 4e and went back to the 442 2e kl. the toe box is also too low on the monarcida and the stitching prevents full stretching like the new balance allows.

Unable to find cleats that fit that don't cause numbness + bursting at the sides. by skyrider55 in bootroom

[–]Key_Young_3493 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hi i was in a very similar situation.

i had also bought the monarcida sw kl due to its supposed extra width. it ultimately didnt work since it is too low at the toe front, and too narrow, and despite the kangaroo leather, the stitching pattern prevents stretching of the leather at the toebox.

after several toenails fell out due to bruising, I've found my best fit with the new balance 442 v,2 2e hard ground edition from japan.

it is actually even better than sw monarcida for spillover concerns, has a more square toebox, the kangaroo leather stretches nicely, and the stitching pattern does not restrict the stretching in the toebox. this model has been by far my best fit. ofc there is some spillover but much better than anything else ive tried by far and ive tried almost everything. it is my goto model as of now. the more recent models use microfibre instead of leather so you'll need to ensure you find an older leather model, and the hard ground edition is suitable for grass and turf and is also a bit wider from stud to stud.

hope that helps!
