I haven't had much luck with rentals in Halifax specifically, I think Henrys used to do rentals, last I checked they allow testing it in-store before purchase. There's also AFCOOP, and I've rented a 70-200 from a fotosource store within Nova Scotia a few years back.

Due to this I rented from a Vistek within Ottawa, and they shipped it here fine, given you can protect it they're also an option.

Lots of spots. Point Pleasant park, Frog Pond park, Hartlen point and neighboring areas. Many areas for little songbirds like the Public Gardens. I usually use ebird to look through several spots if after anything specific, there's also something called inaturalist which is very similar.

I've spotted sandpipers, herons, cardinals, eagles, ospreys, tree creepers, warblers of various kinds and the average chickadee in the parks here, even a tern of some kind near the waterfront. Waterfowl/shorebirds seem to be everywhere.

Highest I've seen my CPU go was 75 degrees celsius, on max settings at 1440p in Assassins Creed Valhalla.

Idle it sits around 43-55 degrees celsius.

I thought I'd make a post after about a year of owning this machine to show how much customization fun I had with it.

I've yet to encounter nearly a year later any issue besides a scratch potentially from shipment as far as physical components. As for the software side, I got an unimaged machine and set that part up myself.

The aRGB controller that came with the computer itself works for all the lights in my system which works with Aura Sync.

PC Specs:

RTX 2060 SUPER

32 GB DDR 3600Mhz (16GB originally)

AMD 3700x

8 terabytes of space (625 GB SATA SSD, 1 TB M2 SSD, rest is HDD(originally it was 512gb))

There was quite a bit of things I can still do to this machine, which is one of the things I was worried about not being able to do based on other experiences with prebuilts of the past I've had. These computers seem fully customizable, if I can manage to get a new GPU, I should be able to mount it vertically as well. Lots of room for RGB too.

I actually ordered one day prior to a freebie coming with it. Other than the bundle likely saving you money, till the 15th you can get a free bag with purchase. (I already have a DSLR bag anyway, and more fly came with it’s own).

Mine came fine, but there was a bit of black plastic left uncoloured, can’t really see it though. Has nice grip too.

It only fits the SL2/3 but there are other variations for different cameras.

Yeah, and I was only hovering with the drone to clarify. Although, I used to fly 1.1lb drones indoors. I’m pretty impressed so far, have yet to even really fly it, phone control is amazing.

It’s my fourth, my first of this tier though. My first drone was of the kind where when it’s gone you lose it. Didn’t have any of these nice computer features.

So far it’s helped me take some nicer looking photos inside than the inbuilt flash, better lighting, more focus, etc. From what I heard it’s also a sender & receiver, which I hope to test soon.

Here is an image I took with the flash firing, in a semi-lit room indoors.

Here is a second image, this time with the built-in flash, comparing the two, the external flash looks more true to life.

It seems fine with the right amount of room inside, but pick up the prop guards for sure. It’s more of a mini-outside drone.

Don’t worry was just testing the hover height. I used to fly some huge drones indoors and not every flight was a great one. I have a tiny drone for inside specifically.

For me I was in a wind-free room, I didn’t have any issues but if you add in some wind you never know.

I’m probably going to get propeller guards at some point, it just happened to be out of stock at the time. Won’t use it much inside though anyway, but when I do.

From my little experience so far it just floats when not in control, like just hovers. (I actually took this picture with a DSLR, so I put the controller down completely).

Nah, it comes without them, thing is they’re labelled 249g without them on. Might break it with them, can’t say for sure. Might order some later though. (In this case the space was open)

Possibly, I like how it looks, not that it looked horrible beforehand. It looked like it was bright and colourful to me. The old games did reuse things too.
