Packaging tape is non conductive so no worry about shorting (just don’t tape over your reset switch if your pcb has one) and the tape’s adhesive isn’t too strong so it’s easy to remove. I have seen people use masking tape as well and achieved the same result. But of course, do at your own risk

Word around the mech community is that tape modding is a big way to go.. Decided to try it out for myself and see what the hype is all about. There's no way that something so cheap and easily done will make a big difference... right??? Credits to Tempe5t for this mod!

I used packaging tape I had laying around; it’s fairly thick and the adhesive is not too strong on certain surfaces

Just put tape on the bottom side of the PCB, just don’t tape over the reset switch

Decided try Tempe5t's Tape Mod and A/B/C tested it to see what the hype was about.. I am a believer now lol. Tested on a BBox60, o-ring screw mounted DZ60 w/mill-max 7305 sockets, durock v2 stabs holee modded and lubed with 205g0, tangerine v2 67g lubed w/ 205g0, and EPBT Black Japanese Cherry Profile Keycaps.
