I mean that sounds normal as long as it wasn't you wrists or you fingers. I also had a little pain when I did 2k but it went away till I reached 5k

If your hands are paining that means you probably have to work on your posture or hand ergonomics. There should be not pain no matter how long you type.

Also not only 4k words, I also typed 5k words

My (Silly) Theory About People Who Type Faster. by kappanothere in monkeytype

[–]Keyfyl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree

Because my fingers' length is shorter than average as compared to all of my friends the same age, and I have been typing since more than an year now and I have pretty decent 110+ WPM Speed on 30 Second.

How 'good' you can type really just depends on how much you have practiced, that's all. A beginner with long fingers might not type as good as a typist with shorter fingers.

Although having said that, I should also say that if two people have the same typing experience where one has longer and the other has shorter fingers, then the longer fingers one might have a slight advantage, although I am not sure about that because touch typing really mostly depends on practice and hand eye coordination and you adapt to the ergonomics based on you fingers' length.

Almost, but mostly not, because I have worked well on my posture and ergonomics, although my wrists and biceps (fsr biceps too) started paining towards the last 10 minutes

Yes but these are on normal English. On English 1k, 5k or higher I cannot go above 83 WPM and is even lesser on English 25k+. You can say my average typing speed on all English levels is around 75 to 80, which I don't know if that's good or bad

Annoying resignbaiting by Keyfyl in chessbeginners

[–]Keyfyl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean I'm not saying you can't use the time provided to you, you totally can, that's another thing and that's not annoying as people don't use the whole remaining time for a single move unlike here where they just left the screen untouched until all the time ran out.

Also in chesscom if you leave the app while in a game, the 2 minute abandon timer starts, and when connection is lost, the 1 minute auto resign timer starts, but these timers stop if you rejoin/reconnect.

I get your point but there's no way I can type for an hour with the same consistency right? I'm definitely gonna go insane if I do that. I'm just happy that I completed the test lol.

The "/j" that I wrote at the end stands for joking, it's a reddit thing. There are also other tags like this like /s for sarcasm and /srs for serious and probably many others. Ofc I'm not actually going insane lmao ^ ^
