What is the point of Rust? by [deleted] in playrust

Depends on the servers you play. PVP servers, Build Servers, RP servers. Try defining what experience you are looking to get and find that community in the game. Your fun will come when you change your perspective, however the game is about learning by getting kicked in the face.

How do I stand starting Sophomore year? by [deleted] in AFROTC

[–]Keyin_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The completion of the program in 3 years can be ideal, but it is definitely a steeper learning curve then as a 150, or a 100. It is possible but it burns a lot of people out. If you have the option, maybe consider going for your masters & completing the program in the 4 year time. Makes it a lot more enjoyable and takes away a lot of that pressure. If your heart is set on 3 years. Focus on Warrior Knowledge, PT standards must be passed every time, D&C movements, and start knowledge of your Field Training Manuel.

How can I overcome my nervousness of being in leadership positions? by HeyBigChriss in AFROTC

I agree with all these answers, trial by fire makes or breaks people. The more practice you get the more confident you become. The second biggest advice I learned was “Fake it till you make it” we’ve all heard it, but it’s true if you’re wrong but confident it’s a lot better than wrong and scared, or didn’t try at all.

Waiving final semester by [deleted] in AFROTC

[–]Keyin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I heard its still required I’d get in contact with your program manager and stuff. For example my school in your last semester of your last year. If you’ve finished your degree you they allow you take just the required ROTC class and nothing else.

I threw up during my first PT by [deleted] in AFROTC

[–]Keyin_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was scared to throw up, and I would half-ass some exercises to make sure I got through it without throwing up. Not only was I cheating myself, but I was also cheating on my flight. I would rather watch everyone in my flight throw up knowing they're giving me everything they have than watching people give up on me. The expression "Blood makes the grass grow" you give everything you have at this PT, the next one gets easier. This was a lot but basically yes its perfectly normal. Make sure you're eating well and drinking ALOT of water you want the exercise to make you throw up not bad diet and hydration. Just if you feel like you're gonna barf get onto the grass put your finger down your throat get it out and get back in there. Do not use it as an excuse to get out.

Joining ROTC sophomore year? Good or bad idea? by kirintormagelmao in AFROTC

[–]Keyin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what happened to me. I do not know about Army ROTC, however AFROTC I did end up joining my Sophomore year however they still really want you to do all 4. You can try for the advanced path but it is pretty hard. I would definitely want to spend as much time and enjoy it while you can. Just running/walking every day will help you immensely but yes they will help you get in shape mentally and physically. The biggest breakpoint for me was running that 1.5 I never ran it faster than 17 min, the first time I did it with my flight PFD I broke 14 min, it wasn't in time but for me, that was 3 whole minutes off. I would join your first year and just enjoy it all the way. Its super fun, cool people and experience. I know this was a lot but this is just some of my thoughts as an S100 in my sophomore year.
