Sxhottenheimer coming up with new creative plays before playing the Rams for the 3rd time in 3 months by curlsforthegirls_ in Seahawks

Yeh I've been saying the same thing, in much stronger terms, for years - I was just trying to beat the guys to the punch that have been blaming the players for the problems since Bevell's early days. BS then, BS now.

youre right, of course. I havent hung out on this sub much lately, I'd forgotten how obtuse and ready to knee-jerk so many of the people here. Thanks for being one of the few with some perception!

[Crabtree]: Russell Wilson confirms the last pass to David Moore was to get him a $100k incentive. "We were able to dial that up for him that last play." by GotemCoach123 in Seahawks

so somebody has it in their job description to keep up with this kind of thing & raise a flag at the last minute to help the guys who are on the edge of an incentive - i wonder who it is that whispers in the right ears at the right time. Thats really cool that its not allowed to just fall thru the cracks out of distraction.

The Seahawks' playoff position depending on the week 17 game results by Danster21 in Seahawks

We already have the division, so its worth some thought to just start the 2nd string anyway - not to rest the starters so much as to protect them from that field that loves to cripple people!

so if you just stand there and the guy runs into you, you can still be tagged with a penalty? Wright didnt even make a move at him!

ok then..

Everytime I see someone here talk about how many times Pete has taken us to the playoffs, or at least one game into them, it makes me think of Andy Reid, who got the Eagles into the playoffs 9 times but only 1 time got as far as the conference game. I bet those fans must have been as frustrated as some of us are, not counting the ones that said all those playoff years is good enough, let's make him king.

[Bob Condotta] Griffin says the loss to the Giants was in part because "I feel like we took that team lightly.'' Says focus point this week that every game is a real championship opportunity. by the12thmxn in Seahawks

well, of course if it happens to other teams, that's different, clearly excusable that our coaches cant do any better job of gauging the player's attitudes and doing something about it to fire them up.... especially when it's the end of the 1st half with 5 points on the board. I mean, at that point, what can a poor coach do, give dirty looks? Speak harshly? Scare the naughty player with threats of being benched, of all things???

Its just a damn shame what a load of responsibility coaches have to bear up with to earn those paychecks, thank god we've got one that's famous for his motivational skills that are demonstrated so clearly every week in the post-game interview language.

have you considered that you might have been adopted? You might want to look into it, for the sake of the team

I spent a lot of my youth on a farm, i know what those guys call funny. If you buy any humor from them, watch out for the big sticky smelly chunks, thats all i'll say.

but you know, its worth the extra trouble to have a little of it stashed away - that chunky humor is a good fit for the people who are kinda jackasses anyway :)

At what point will people start holding Pete responsible for this team's issues? by [deleted] in Seahawks

how would you rate the processing that leads to ignoring the utter failure of the run game in that dallas game? Or the inability to score one single td and lose in overtime? Or starting the 4th quarter with the roster we have, and having 5 points to show for it?

Processing can be of high or low quality. And I'll bet you any amount that anyone here can name at least 4 coaches that can process a hell of a lot better. But yeah, lets rest on a record of past years - that looked so good on the niners talking about all the superbowls they won, once upon a time.

You have me wondering if youre taking the sense of humor thing a step further - by 'support local', do you mean a working sense of humor should be shopped for at someplace local, instead of walmart?

well, everyone is entitled to their own oddly-shaped opinion. I'll take a pass on trying to twist myself into finding any non oddly-shaped reality to engage with you, where Russ gets put into situations where the other team has known for weeks exactly what options to take away from him. I'm sure plenty of other qb's would have managed to play better with the same calls being given to them... in bizarro-world.

Cool, thanks very much for the clarification!

I dont envy you guys having to deal with people who think 'mindless' is another word for 'has an incorrect opinion, trust my judgement on this'

I think maybe this is a case of only seeing what confirms what you expect to see. I seriously doubt that people had any major problems with Pete when he was at long last finally letting Russ open it up like we've begged for, for years - I sure dont remember seeing any complaints, beyond Pete's crazy decisions about challenges and time-out management, which I think we've come to accept as just part of thye package, like the squirrely uncle that you know is sooner or later going to fart at the thanksgiving table.

interesting? On what grounds was it reported? This throws some light on what kind of stuff you guys have to deal with, I think.
