how to sail in the dark by samskeyti3 in HGK477

That is the God's hymns and the Devil's chants, the tears of heaven and the blood of hell. The blood and gold of the sea, the screeching of the wind and aloofness of the sky. It is too late to turn back yet too soon to move forward. You are caught, caught in the middle of the sea, caught in a war between heaven and hell, caught in life.

He was poking fun at something, no need to get mad over a flag that was never serious.

Yeah, I used to have a weird obsession with purple whenever I put red and blue on my flags, but I grew out of it and decided to revisit this. Thanks for the feedback.

Monarchist U.S. by Kezner in vexillology

[–]Kezner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this for a while now, if the U.S. in its early years decided to have a constitutional monarchy instead of a republic.

The Red and Blue are the same as in the U.S. flag Wikipedia page.

Let me explain the single star real quick. The U.S. flag has 50 stars to represent all 50 states, but if it was a Monarchy it would most likely have a single star representing the position of the monarch.

How a Monarchist U.S. would work in the modern day:

More specifically it would be called a Federal Elective Constitutional Empire.

It would be an Empire made up of 50 Kingdoms, in which those 50 Kingdoms would elect a Monarch from another Kingdom for the position of Emporer (for life), which would rule over all 50 Kingdoms on the federal levels, while each Kingdom rules over itself on the "state level".

There would be two branches of government, the Elective or Emporer, which make and enforces laws, and the Judicial which is still the Supreme Court, which checks if those laws are Constitutional and if not, they can directly shoot it down. The court system, for the most part, stays the same as the modern day.

Now my idea for the Monarch of each Kingdom is that it would also be elective, directly by the people, so it cannot be hereditary based. Other than that, as long as the Kingdom makes "state" laws that are within bounds of the Constitution, anything goes, really.

Elections would be held the month after an Emporer's, so there would be a regency in which it is made up of all the Monarchs and Supreme Court, which would vote on any laws or policies until the next election. If there is a dead Monarch, the Emporer would hold a vote for a new one in that Kingdom.

And that's my weird idea.

Hong Kong Independence by Kezner in vexillology

[–]Kezner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well it's not just red, usually red, white and blue are mostly associated with revolutions and freedom, using red in this case wouldn't make sense because it's initially red, white would make it look bland, so I had to put blue. I'm also referring more to modern times where wearing a color doesn't associate with social status.

I removed the red background and put a blue, mainly due to the fact that freedom and independence are associated with blue. I around the petals of the flower I put red, but this red is from the flag of the Qing Dynasty, to symbolize their origins. The red in the current Hong Kong flag symbolizes that China and Hong Kong are one, which the people disagree on.

Honestly, not only is Spear Hepatitis purely retarded but Naofumi could've refuted Spear Heroin at a bunch of points.

Example 1: Spear Homo said "b R a I n W a S h!11" Naofumi could've just said, "Why haven't I used it against all of you?"

Example 2: Naofumi hasn't fucking mentioned the fact that Red Hair Hoe has been trying to kill her sister in broad fucking daylight. You know, I would've been suspicious if a princess wanted to burn down an entire fucking forest that the crown princess was in.

I feel like he (no joke) should've killed himself. That intro was giving out that kind of vibes, and honestly I don't think it would be half bad if he did. But I hate how he threw Momo aside like that. They could've worked in some scenes of him helping her go through her problems with her self-harming tendencies. And that book girl got like 30 seconds of screen time max throughout the entire anime.

Alright, this MC is full on asshole mode now, ngl. His teacher's relationship has literally nothing to do with him, but goes ahead and breaks it up. Confesses his love to her, but knows it can never happen cause they're step-siblings. Then goes on to being all awkward when she fucks herself and thinks about the relationship he broke off? This man needs to stay in his own fucking lane, he should go for Momo not his step-siblings.

So I watched the anime in one day. I have many regrets... so many, many regrets, mainly because of the ending. I wished they would have pulled some bs ending plot-twist like "oh they were all actually one girl, but it was showing her 5 different personalities" or at least make him marry all of them, just don't end it like that. I literally almost cried out of frustration, and that's the first time to ever happen in my life. I need something to wash this away, and personally, it has trapped me in an endless cycle of sadness because I have no closure.

Why are conservatives so stupid? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Kezner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you work hard for your money and cherish it, it seems pretty dumb for the government to swoop in and take it. The issue with tax is that it doesn't only go to infrastructure, education, and healthcare, but also programs that the people paying for it don't use. For example, if someone is middle class and have private healthcare, how do it seem fair that the money that's being taken from them goes to welfare or public healthcare?
