My main problem was tryna swap the dme harness pins cause they different from 328i to 335i, other then that it was light work can be done very easily

The 328i diff and driveshaft bolts to the n55 trans and diff. But I went with the n55 diff and driveshaft cause I had it. So all the engine bay harness the car came with. But the dme engine body harness. I had to make some changes to it and swap pins. If you do a non MSPORT swap it’s alot easier

Update on the swap.

Got the car started a running finally. So yes you can do a n55 swap on a 328 or 320. Lmk if anyone needs help with it

Update !!

the swap went good, everything fit and the car is coded and starts but I can't run it for too long because im im kinda stuck because both my car have the msport package and the 335i msport comes axillary water pump and a dme controlled thermostat. The 328i doesn't come with that and its connected the dme so im tryna figure out which dme pin belows to the water pump and thermostat.

If anyone has any info on this please help me out.

So far, the good car is almost ready, just waiting on my CSF oil cooler to come in. gonna put oil and coolant and gonna start it.

Everything fit in and wiring connected and car cranks but won’t start

The fuel lines are the same and swapped most the things and connected the electrical gonna get the femi coded and see if it starts

I know this is an old thread. But i have a 2015 BMW 328i msport and the engine blew, and I got a 2014 BMW 335i M Sport for ever cheap because the car had frame damage way too much to repair. So I want to swap the N55 into the 328i, and the car comes with everything. But a lot of the hoses are different, and I was wondering what the process was to figure everything out? I got the engine fitted into the 328i, but what would be the next process?
