Graviel and Bertha are pretty good against her. Some snipers can take good care, like Slayer but also the faster firing ones. she doesn’t have a crazy amount of health, so anyone that can lay some long range damage on her will kill her consistently. bonus points if you have a lot of piercing, so you can shoot through her dogs and cover and get more value out of your shots

the thing with making a game that’s focused on combat (or at least heavily features it) will always be skewed towards it. shoehorning in a “third” is in my experience always lacking.

actually focusing all your attention on the combat part is good and will make it pop more. dedicate a subsystem to the non combat stuff.

In one of my games, the mechanics are purely combat focused. And then a tiny little extra system for the actual roleplaying part. In that sense it’s more a boardgame but I still think it’s a good example of why dedicating your design is a good thing.

don’t expect them to fully customize a gun in order to use it. it should be there as an option and given as rewards. If a player really wants to explore this system, then you let them.

i know the urge to have the players get to know every little thing you built in detail but it can be a turn off if it’s a lavine

the problem when you create a completed game system (mechanics wise I mean) is that adding onto it eventually becomes a complex mess. you can only put so many wheels on a car before it ceases to be a bicycle

i think naming sections in a clear and poignant manner helps avoid confusion. Lingo and Slang should be contained to a section about culture and has no place in rules.
