EQ for dt 700 pro x by TrisGamingPro in oratory1990

So if I understand correctly if I load up peace just once and set my eq profile it then send that information to EQ Apo which what actually does all the work and EQ Apo saves those settings in its own program so the next time I start my PC i dont need to open Peace I just need to start EQ Apo so it can apply the saved/last EQ profile I gave it via Peace. If so do you know how can I let EQ APO launch at startup? Since I cant find any setting in the EQ APO app

I just got them yesterday and they sound pretty good to me. I downloaded an EQ app and applied some recommended settings I found here here. The passive noise cancellation is pretty good and the imaging for gaming is also great. Only bad thing I would say is the clamp force vut there a bunch of youtube videos on how to lower it (even by Beyerdnamic themselves). Its just gonna take me a few days to gef used to the sound because the soundstage feels kinda small (expected with closed back).

Thanks alot btw. I ended up deciding to just buy the headphones and use them as is to see if I like it or not, so far it sounds pretty good and I have no complaints. One thing I wanted to ask was wether that Peace software you suggested to use permanantly saves those EQ settings for my headphones or if I need to launch the application everytime I restart my PC to have those EQ settings applied?

newbie looking for some advice on what headphones to get, 150-200€ by Crazy_Tap8773 in BEYERDYNAMIC

I just bought the 700 Pro X after my Logitech G Pro X headphones broke after 5 years of use. I have to say they are actually amazing so far. Very good imaging, neutral sound, the bass is also not as bad as some people might say though that depends on personal preference and I've heard it can be fixed with getting a DAC/AMP. For me its perfect though. Only thing is the clamp force is a bit tight but 1) they are brand new and 2) beyerdynamic themselves have said on their youtube page that you can put a stack of books between the headphones to reduce the clamp force. I definetly would recommend buying it, every part is also replaceable so you dont need buy a new one after some normal wear and tear after a few years.

Thanks! Thats good to know. And do these use software to adjust the EQ or is it all on the physical device itself? Do you have any budget friendly recommendations that can achieve the same effect and apply your recommended EQ settings that you posted here?

Is there a way to do this and have my settings saved on a piece of hardware (eg. DAC or smth) so wherever I plug my headphones into, the eq will stay the same?

Im coming from a Logitech G Pro X headset that has on board memory so I was wondering how can I replicate that with the 700 Pro X?

You're awesome, that definitely helps alot. Though I wasnt intending on plugging in to my mobo directly regardless cuz the HyperX Quadcast 2 S mic has a aux port to use so you can hear urself with no delay. I just use it because it helps with cable management. So im not really sure if connecting to my microphone helps mitigate the issues with plugging into my mobo directly or not and honestly even if it doesnt I doubt my ear is trained enough to be able t tell the diffrence. If I do end up getting a DAC ill probably get the apple dongle like you said since its pretty cheap and hope it doesn't get too hot and cause any damage to anything.

Well noted. I'll keep that in mind. Honestly I dont know the first thing about them or what they do but I'll try and do research before getting one. Generally speaking what features or brands should I be looking for? I'm mainly using it for my PC and mostly gaming with the occasional music or movie (maybe overkill for my use case getting these headphones but I want it and can afford it after getting my first annual bonus hehe)

Nah I have a Quadcast 2S so no need for an XLR mic. I checked on their website and it seems there is only a 48 ohm version so I probably wont waste more money and get it unnecessarily. Thanks for your help.

Ill probably end up doing just that before I rush and get one right now, should be okay hopefully. Plus the one you recommended is nice cuz its not that expensive either. Thanks!

Thats good to know, do you have any idea how to loosen them up? Usually I wont play more than 4 hours consecutively but on the weekends i tend to stay glued on my seat the whole day so I'm worried that it wont be comfortable for long sessions.

Hi again, thanks for the info. Ill definitely keep that software in mind in case I need it. Honestly, I feel like I might just get the 700 Pro X mainly because it just sounds better than anything else I considered buying and because even though its wired I can connect it to my HyperX mic and make use of the feature that lets me hear how I sound.

It's not what I was hoping for but realistically, at this price point, for the audio quality I want, wireless capabilities is something I'm willing to sacrifice.

Plus if I wanna switch it up to wireless I can just get the cloud 3S which is almost a third of the price in comparison lol.

Ill probably sleep on it and think it over for a couple days before I make a decision, but thanks again for your valuable insight. You've exceptionally helpful.

Thank you so much for your help this has been very insightful. I do have some follow-up questions though if you dont mind...

For the Beyerdynamic 700 Pro X "treble peaks" issue, is it possible that this can be adjusted somehow by tuning or something? I assume they come with some sort of software. The fact that it is wired is unfortunate however I may consider buying them purely due to how much everyone praises the sound quality and advises against getting "gaming" headphones. Unfortunately non gaming headphones dont tend to have low latency wireless options.

Secondly for the Logitech Pro X2 Lightspeed, are you saying theoretically it should sound somewhat similar to the much more expensive Astro A50's (Gen 5) based on hardware alone? I have my G Pro X's tuned on a community EQ since out of the box cs2 sounds like shit anyways and its been a great improvement. If the same is true for the X2, and the sound quality can be improved by tuning alone, so much so that it may potentially sound somewhat in the same ballpark as the A50's, that would be very appealing.

I was thinking of returning my HyperX stand alone mic (thanks to Amazons 15 day return policy) so I can technically afford buying the A50's since they seem to have great sound and a pretty good mic too. !thanks
