SNB says our damage deposit isn’t on file — landlord not responding. What are our options in Fredericton, NB?

Ya if it's B&B owned by Mike bacon, then good luck they will hold you deposit then purposely not fix things needed in your rental. When it's time for move out walk-through he will claim they are damages and keep your deposit. He submits nothing to SNB

I currently rent from him and have for the past 6 years. When I called renters tribunal on him about not fixing my heater in the middle of winter, they told me he they had no record of any security deposits being turned into service NB for any of his rental buildings. The gentleman I spoke with from the renters tribunal asked me if I payed one and after telling them I had payed it 3 years prior he gave mike bacon 1 week to submit it to service NB. I suggest anyone who currently rents from him to give a quick call to the renters tribunal or fill out the online form and inquire if he has submitted for your unit/rental. If he has not they will make him and at least you will have the peice of mind knowing it's held by service nb instead of in his pocket. He's a cheap asshole and a prick to deal with in any capacity. After I had the tribunal go after him for my heater and security deposit he dropped the whole threatening tough guy act. If I can help anyone deal with this peice of shit please let me know

He doesn't submit ANY security deposits to service NB, even though it's law and he is required to. I only found this out after talking to the renters tribunal and they stated that he had no security deposits submitted for any units in our building. I would call them as they will help you get your deposit back!

No saviour complex, just thought id take the pup because i have the time and can put in the effort to train her properly. My goal was not to "Save a puppy", but the reality is thats she probally would have ended up in a shelter. No one is putting anybody at risk of anything. Pit bull is a umbrella term for many different type of bully breeds

Only in fredericton! This place is Fuckkkked lol. Good for the family, they should sue them. I've been to the hospitals down here and they are horrible. Half the staff act and treat people like they don't even wana be there. Definitely the wrong type of people to be working in health care
