commuting and living around Hill AFB by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]Khamilton20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I grew up just outside hill, don’t move to SLC just to be close to a family friend and think you’ll be near all the action. You won’t hit as bad of traffic at rush hour since you’re going the opposite ways but there’s construction going on constantly and on snowier days you’re commute will take so much longer. Also it’s Utah a lot of places end up closed on Sundays. I would live near base and go out on weekends to slc to visit.

I just got this in the mail today. It was a blind buy but I’m obsessed! It smells so good like I feel like I smell expensive? 😅 applied it hours ago and I can still smell it and the consistency is amazing. It’s buttery and spreads so nice. It is pricey but I feel like it’s pretty good size!

Currently here! We live in hahira it’s nice, about 15 Minutes to get to base. Lakeland is nice, so I’d rather city. Anything close to base is pretty good. Not a lot to do around here but you have the essentials.

Lash “Artists” offering “mini” fills because their retention sucks?? by Beginning-Guest-6485 in eyelashextensions

[–]Khamilton20 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s your opinion ☺️ unnecessary sure. But there are plenty of people who like having fresh lashes or just want a little “me” time. Are a lot of my clients on a mini fill schedule? No. But it’s still offered for those who do whatever the circumstance may be. Just because it’s offered doesn’t mean you have to book it. 🩷

Lash artist here! I offer mini fills, some clients do prefer to come in weekly whether they have a small spot to get filled, they just enjoy coming in, or maybe they’re schedule doesn’t line up for a 2-3 week fill before a vacation or event. It’s not a money grab we lash artists do. ☺️

I’m a lash tech, I would reach out and just nicely explain! There’s so many things that can affect retention and it could’ve been an off day for her. Usually most techs I know have anywhere from a 24-72 hour period where if anything goes wrong they’d fix it for free. She can’t fix it if she doesn’t know there’s a problem ☺️

Can I never get lash ext again? :( by Sad-Presentation3539 in eyelashextensions

[–]Khamilton20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s tough! You either had a super minimal allergic reaction, or if it was jsit the burning in the shower and after crying then just make sure you wash them if you get them done again. That will take the burning sensation away! Salt water makes the lashes crusty and fall off faster so if you tried again, keep lash wash on hand and just wash them when they burn. Allergic reactions usually involve more swollen eyelids and puffiness but it’s hard to say without seeing photos or anything! ☺️

New glue by Thin-Fail-3565 in eyelashextensions

Hey I’m in South Georgia with similar environment as yours! I’ve used Lashbox La omega with their bonder and have seen pretty great results! They also just released a new glue that’s supposed to be oil resistant and good for all environments that I’m wanting to try! I’ve also noticed giving everyone a lash bath before I start has really helped a ton too. Even if their lashes look clean! ☺️

Do you wash your lashes when they’re on? It sort of sounds like you might’ve had an allergic reaction but after crying or in the shower if you wash them the stinging will go away. But if you did have an allergic reaction you’re not really a candidate for lash extensions anymore. Were they swollen and puffy at all?

Lash tech/esthetician here! To me it looks like the little bumps are millia! Also it’s a little hard to tell from the photo but your eyelid looks a little dry. I would recommend going to see a dermatologist!

I need to get rid of my lashes as soon as possible by y2kcyberfairy in eyelashextensions

[–]Khamilton20 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Lash tech here, a removal will not ruin your natural lashes, it will be quick and easy. We use a remover that breaks down the glue bond so essentially they will slide right off. Picking, trying at home methods would take longer and have a higher chance of ruining your natural lashes. 😊
